Last week was a rollercoaster and I’m proud of our team.

These pictures mean everything to me. I started this journey to chase greatness with my friends. It’s the driving factor of why I wake up and can’t sleep at night.

It’s taken years, torn ligaments, losses, and broken bones to get to where we are now. Four athletes in the UFC!

We have one more athlete that started with us in the beginning and I haven’t forgot about him. Next up is @ashkicka333.

Let’s not get it twisted. This success starts with the athletes, is driven by their head coach @excitefight, and I get to play a small part in their success. Rick has proven multiple times that he knows how to coach an athlete to the highest level. This didn’t happen by accident.

We’re coming into the season with the most returning All-Americans, and the culture is established.

Continual improvement in everything we do. The offseason wasn’t about maintaining—it was about leveling up.

I’m beyond grateful to be a part of the Bird Gang. The standard is set, the work has been done, and now it’s time to go prove it.

I had one plan and one plan only: retire from the sport when Mike Chiesa told me he was done.

Then life had a way of putting the right people in my path.

Every one of these athletes has been here since the conception of DL Training Systems. What we’ve built together wasn’t overnight. This week is the accumulation of relentless consistency, sacrifice, and the self-belief that we could actually make it.

We’re far from where we’re going.

But we’re on the way.

It’s fight week.

I remember sitting in a locker room and hearing what sounded like a car crash.

I walked out, and it was Jaden Ortega kicking pads.

Five years ago, I knew he was going to be special. In ten days, the world is going to find out what I already knew.

After a long layoff due to a knee injury, I finally made my return to competition at Combat Sports Coverage! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me prepare for this match, United Jiu-Jitsu, Carlos Henriquez, and DL Training. It takes teamwork to make this dream work. I’ll never forget this trip to Boston. The city of Boston was warm, inviting, and a great place to visit.
