The DLine loved dancing at Dance Athens on Saturday! 💃🕺🏿📸 by @dline_dancers

This is Graham everyone! Graham is one of our guy captains on the team, and is one of the few people to start the team!

As you can see, he had a pretty eventful summer. Graham went Africa 🌍!!!!! During his time there, he did plenty of vet work with cheetahs, lions, hyenas, as well as good bit of animal care. He saw some singers perform live. One singer was at the local music festival; his name was Zaan Sonnekus! The other singer, Appel, was at a local country and Sokkie bar (Sokkie is a form of couples dancing💃🕺🏼). If you’ve seen him dance, he’s a pretty decent dancer…..if not an even better swing dancer, so we’re pretty curious how quickly he learned the dancing there…..if he was able to keep up 😂

He worked in rehabilitation and ended up releasing a caracal, some pigs, and HUGE snake. Made a cute little squirrel monkey friend at the monkey sanctuary, and did a decent amount of hiking, and climbing cliffs with some friends he made!!

Overall, we would say Graham had an amazing time!! We enjoyed/ were slightly jealous seeing and hearing everything that he did‼️😂 It was kind of difficult to keep in touch with him while he was there considering the 6 hours time difference… but we’re so so happy that he’s back. We missed his wild yet entertaining self 😂 by @dline_dancers

This is Grace or as y’all may know her as, Classic City Cowgirl. Not only is Grace on the team, but she works at the best bar in Athens, GA, @dukesanddottiesathens. She teaches line dancing there starting at 9pm, and if you want a drink, she’s a bartender there too! 🍺

Grace enjoyed her summer by going to Virginia Highlands Porchfest in Atlanta. This is where her friend took this iconic photo of her on his film camera. She did a ton of pilates, traveled to Oakland to visit some of her friends, went to Pride 🏳️‍🌈, had several dinners here in Athens, and we can’t leave out how great she looked celebrating her good friend, Mel’s birthday in the 6th photo‼️

Grace overall loves to hang out and have a good time with the people that she cares about, which is a big part of why we love having her on the team. She is taking a step back this year to mainly focus on her work, but is still going to be around when she can! If she’s not with the team on a weekend though, you know where to find her/who to get your drinks from🤠🍺 by @dline_dancers

“Hey chat” this is Nolan! Nolan is another one of our guy dancers. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting him, you would see how much of a funny, outgoing, go with the flow, and straight forward guy he is.

Nolan went to Peru 🇵🇪 this summer. While, he was there he instantly put that personality to work and met some pretty cool people to go sandboarding with! They went on a little joy ride, attempted not to crash, and eventually got stranded in that same desert due to their driver having a “little” too much to drink 🍻

You know he made the best of it though and vlogged his night away! Which is always his best idea because now we too can enjoy the video of him and his new friends getting ready for bedtime…..in the middle of the desert……in a place they don’t know……in the pitch black….#heenjoyedit

All in all, seems like such a fun memory and he got some sick photos from this trip! He just has to remember to bring the team with him next time🥳 by @dline_dancers

This is Lindsay!!! Lindsay is another one of our amazing girl dancers. She usually has a smile on her, and knows just about every line dance there is to know, while being super helpful to all the new and experienced dancers on the floor. 💃🤠

This summer, Lindsay went to Wisconsin to visit a friend she met when she lived in Alaska! They went out dancing a few times and enjoyed some good looking drinks there. Then, she spent some time with this adorable Capybara. When she came back to Athens, Lindsay went to ATHFEST. She walked around, enjoyed her a few drinks, and of course did some Silent Disco 🪩 For those that do not know Lindsay, she LOVES silent disco. It is definitely going on the team hangouts list‼️

If you see Lindsay around, don’t be afraid to go up to her if you ever need help with a dance, or you just want to get to know her more!! by @dline_dancers

Let’s introduce the verified goofball on the team….Xander✅ Xander honestly just got thrown/ slightly peer pressured by his friends to be on the team, but he loves it here so honestly wins all around 😂 Xander is one of the funniest people to dance with on the team. He tends to make everyone laugh and is super welcoming whether he knows you or not.

Xander made some big moves this summer and bought him a new truck!!! He “went to like 100 weddings”, rode his motorcycle a lot, and did some line and swing dancing when he wasn’t working. “Summer is the same for me as always haha nothing changes” is what he says. Soooo…… if he’s buying a new truck every summer, we may have to see what he can do for the team 🤷‍♀️😭 by @dline_dancers

Everyone say, “Heyyy Lizzyyy!!” Lizzy has been on the team since our very first auditions. One of the many things you’ll pick up about her (other than the fact that she loves to have nothing but a good time), is that she LOVES and i mean LOVES to travel. We really don’t believe there is any place in this world that hasn’t seen Lizzy at some point 😭

In order, Lizzy went to:
1. Prague
2. Budapest
3. Did some line and swing dancing in Monbijou Park, Berlin
4. Vienna
5. Soest, Germany
6. Did some line and swing dancing in Grizzly Rose, Denver
7. Another picture of her in Berlin
8. Went to a Treaty Oak Revival Concert in Denver
9. Another beautiful picture in Budapest
10. Went to California and met up with another one of our gorgeous gorgeous team members @kyndallclarke
11. Went to Rocky Mountain National Park
12. New York 🗽
ANDDDDDDD
13. Cheyenne, Wyoming

It’s safe to say not only did she have a super fun and eventful summer, but she did enough traveling for the entire team 😭❤️ by @dline_dancers

Summer is slowly and sadly coming to an end, that being said, the team is so excited to start dancing together again!! But……we do have some spots we need to fill first‼️

We’re having online auditions for people who want to be a part of the team. Like the flyer says, auditions will be open from today until August 7, 2026. Make sure when filming your videos, that you are having just as much fun as you would if you were at your favorite linedancing bar *cough cough* @dukesanddottiesathens. And if you really want to make impression feel free to send in a dance that will get our attention (No that does not mean “Pieces to the Puzzle”/“Damn I love Miami” or “The Wolf”) 😭

Send your dance videos to the email: thedline.dancers@gmail.com

In the meantime, we will be posting about what some of the team has been up to this summer🌴🥳 by @dline_dancers

D-Line had a fun time performing at The Marigold Festival May 9th! We hope to see everyone there next year! They had so many different areas set up such as: kids areas with bouncy houses, free cotton candy, face painting, etc. They also had food trucks, alcohol to make the day go by faster for the adults 🍺, and soooooo many vendors who sold preserves, permanent jewelry, crochet stuffed animals, and so much more! We definitely hope to be performing again there next year, but if not we will be back to shop around 🛍️🛒

Huge shoutout to our good friend Sonomi for setting all this up for the team! She also runs h the entire kids area for the festival, and would love to have some new volunteers for next year!!! by @dline_dancers

Our team had a blast Saturday night with James Franco and of course our favorite party starters @justtouchmoney 🎉👀 by @dline_dancers
