Meet our new grandson, Malakai (Kai) Shepherd Monroe 💙

Born September 18 at 5:15pm, weighing 7 lbs 13.6 oz.

If you know me, you know I’m over here gushing. I seriously cannot contain myself. And my sweet Stella girl is already such a good big sister...my heart is so full watching her with her baby brother.

Many of you know and love Rowan. He is an incredibly smart, energetic, joyful little boy who has brought so much life to everyone around him.

As a family, we are continuing to believe for Rowan’s complete healing from autism while also pursuing the practical strategies and treatments that God has made available through skilled doctors and specialists. We believe faith and wisdom can work hand in hand.

We have the opportunity to help Rowan receive treatment at a facility that focuses on improving brain function and helping children reach their fullest potential. This is a significant step for their family, and we would love to rally around them.

The goal may seem large, but if just 200 people gave $50, we would reach it together.

Would you consider making a donation of any amount? Every gift helps move Rowan one step closer to receiving the care he needs.

Our lives are forever changed because of you. You are the perfect mix of spicy and sweet, full of personality, joy, and wonder. You are such a beautiful combination of your mom and dad, and even at two years old, you know exactly what you want—and what you don’t!

We love your creativity, your intelligence, and the way you see the world. Your smile has a way of changing everything around you, bringing light and happiness wherever you go.

We know you will accomplish all the things you set your mind to, and we believe the Lord has wonderful plans for your life and this next part of your journey. We are so excited to watch you grow, learn, dream, and become all that you were created to be.

It’s hard to believe my baby boy has a one-year-old. Watching your children grow up is one of life’s greatest gifts—and watching them become parents is even more profound. You try to soak in every moment, knowing how quickly time moves. There are things I wish I could have done differently as a parent, but one thing we did right was showing a deep, never-ending love for our children—and now Elijah is passing that same love on to his sweet girl.

This past year has been such a joy. Stella, your daddy and mommy love you with their whole hearts, and it has been incredible to watch them become such amazing parents. They are intentional and attentive—always in tune with what you need, while also giving you space to explore the world around you with courage and curiosity.

Stella, you are strong, kind, mindful, playful, adventurous, and so very smart. You bring a kind of joy that can’t be explained—only deeply felt. Lolly and Pops love you beyond words and thank God every day for the blessing that you are to our family.

We LOVE the Cains! Seriously if you ever need a travel agent to help you navigate Disneyland, DisneyWorld as well as accommodations @manymaustrips is LEGITE! She knows all the tricks, gets all the deals and can help with the world of lighting passes! But even without all of that, we simply love them! by @dlmonroe22
