It’s the same ankle that took a tumble off the bus last week.

So I was at open gym jump floating for my liiiiiiiiiiiife. Just straight aces. It was great. Until my right ankle forgot she still needed to land the plane. I remember seeing the serve and knowing it was gonna be another ace. Then it happened.

I heard my team celebrating the ace. Then I heard my team saying wait D’Lo’s down 😂😂😂

Thanks to @meddie_d she’s all wrapped up. Minimal swelling (to the point that I don’t feel any swelling), and I was walking normally in no time. At first there was a bit of pain, but that went away pretty quickly too. I’m grateful that it seems to be recovering quickly. Hopefully I won’t wake up to a swollen ankle in the morning. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Then I played some more games without jumping. The little pain that was there at first basically disappeared.

Sooooooooo apparently this place is short staffed af because this was the second time in a row it made me SUPER late to work. And today was an APPOINTMENT.

But hey. I was told to stop 2/3 eye drops. And to come back in 2 weeks.

Sometimes to get home you’ve gotta go the hard way.

Played volleyball for the first time since the eye infection. Yes, we’re still healing, so I was nervous. Just a little.

I told myself not to jump unless I felt reeeeeeeeeeeally comfortable. Although I think I started jumping too early, I did pretty well.
