My mother seems so far away from me
On that beautiful white shore across the sea.
Yet I remember love's soft glow upon her face
And the feel of her touch and tender embrace.

I am filled with gratitude for the gift of life.
Another year has passed, and with it, countless experiences that have shaped who I am. Each day has been a blessing, an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a better version of myself. Today, I pause to thank God for allowing me to see another year and for walking beside me through it all.

I tell myself,
“Don’t be weird.”
“Don’t get too attached.”
“Don’t take it personal.”
Changing myself
To fit into a perfect mold.
Don’t show your personality,
They won’t like you that way.
I make myself into a chameleon,
Constantly shifting to please whoever I’m talking to.
Sometimes, it gets to be too much.

If flowers grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me then place them in my grandma’s arms
and tell her they re from her kids and grandkids . Tell her that we love and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and
hold her for awhile and let her know she’s truly loved and missed!❤️‍🩹🌹 by @dlovethasinger

To myself,

I’m proud of you.
I’m proud of how far you’ve kome, of who you are, and of who you’re bekoming.
I’m proud of the success that has brought you where you are and the failures that have taught you so many lessons.☝🏾💯
This year has been a crazy one, but you were ready💯💯🫡.
Ready to create, ready to collaborate, ready to learn.
Even though sometimes it feels like nothing is going according to you, I want you to know that you are here, and you’re exactly where you need to be.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,

meet them at the door laughing,

and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
