Grades are just numbers. This, felt like a pivotal point for me in outdoor climbing. The indifference is gone, replaced by the joy of projecting. Two season’s ago, I could not fathom finishing this climb, let alone starting it. The initial body position felt impossible. The movement did not register in my brain. The top-out, forget about it. But when everything is dialed and you pull off the sequence you worked so hard for, the genius of climbing suddenly becomes apparent. Each move, a small miracle of intention. And when it all comes together in one go, it feels like Beethoven.

Shoutout to the wifey for her endless support through the trials and tribulations @tarzanhhh 🥰 by @dlushoots
