Keepin’ Busy

Last year’s Sunday Funday set was absolutely extraordinary. A true crowd pleaser from start to finish, they set the barn on fire and proved exactly why these three veterans never disappoint. We’re beyond excited to welcome them back for an encore performance.

Two mixers. Three DJs. Four decks. It’s BUSY.

Keepin’ Busy was born during a one off back to back to back set where each DJ brought their own unique flavor and style. As they spontaneously played off each other’s energy and creativity, it became clear this wasn’t just fun for them, it radiated straight to the dance floor. The synergy they sparked turned into something truly special, proving their combined talents create an experience greater than the sum of its parts.

The trio features Billy Bonka (Fractal Code), DMayne Event, and George Jonesin’ (Derb), three exceptionally skilled selectors whose backgrounds allow them to craft an eclectic blend of Funk, House, Tech, Hip Hop and more. Their diversity does not just showcase individual strengths, it highlights their ability to seamlessly weave genres into one cohesive, high energy journey.

Their signature rotation style has each DJ playing three tracks in succession, creating fluid transitions that keep momentum building and the crowd fully locked in. By intertwining their selections, they create a joyous musical mélange, raising the energy to exhilarating heights. The interplay between the three is palpable as they feed off each other’s rhythms and improvisation, taking the audience on an unforgettable ride.

At a festival, club, or special event, Keepin’ Busy delivers more than a set. They deliver connection, celebration, and a dance floor that feels alive.

Introducing our first Relics Collective board member and Board Chair representing New Brunswick Dave Mayne

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Dave Mayne graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2003. He spent the following 15 years working primarily in the hospitality and live-music sectors, including two tenures managing and booking shows at Baba’s Lounge in Charlottetown—an experience that cemented his long-standing commitment to supporting artists, venues, and local music scenes.

After relocating to Saint John, New Brunswick in 2017, Dave took on leadership of the family-owned Atlantic Label, specializing in custom label solutions for manufacturers across Atlantic Canada. Now ushering the business into its fourth decade, Dave is proud to continue a tradition of locally rooted entrepreneurship while serving a diverse regional clientele.

A DJ for over 30 years, Dave remains deeply connected to the music community, regularly participating in festivals and gatherings throughout the eastern seaboard. A lifelong supporter of live music and independent culture, he brings both industry experience and community-driven values to his role as Board Chair of Relics Music Festival.

Outside of work and music, Dave enjoys travelling to live shows and spending time at home with his wife Sharon, their family, and their three Applehead Siamese cats—Leo, Cleo, and Mio. by @dmayne

Baba’s Lounge was a hot sweaty mess of a party back on Friday December 5th and @moon.asked.the.crow captured allllll the fuunnn. We’d take that guy anywhere with us, his work is always amazing and we appreciate him so much
