I’m finally home from Berlin.This was a completely solo trip, so I realized I had barely any photos of myself. Right before checking out, I took a selfie in front of the bathroom mirror by my ols junk phone.
It’s not exactly a memorable shot, but Michelberger Hotel was wonderful.Now that I’m back, I’m already in Japan mode! Here’s what’s coming up next week!!

This is the main venue at Funkhaus, the site of the festival. It is a massive space—easily the size of a train station in Japanese city—and it is packed with a crowd comparable to a rush-hour commute. The glowing spot visible far off in the distance is the stage. Right now, a quartet centered on bowed string instruments is performing a continuously shifting drone, utilizing harmonies based on classical theory and rich, overflowing overtones. It is a striking sight to see such a huge number of people watching this kind of performance. After all, in places like Kyoto or Tokyo, we would often be forced to present similar material in tiny galleries to an audience of just five people. I really sense the difference in culture here.
My own project will be performing at this venue tonight. I hope the music resonates with the audience. by @dmbqnoinsta

This is the medium-sized stage at Funkhaus, the venue for the festival. Its HUGE! Not a MEDIUM size..! It is an amphitheater with the solid, imposing architecture typical of the East German era; there is a massive chamber above the ceiling, resulting in a rich, dense reverberation. In terms of both its structure and capacity, I think it would be the perfect venue for a BOREDOMS show, but the strict volume limits make it unlikely to happen. That is the one thing I always find frustrating about Europe; even during the dress rehearsal for my own project, we immediately ran into volume restrictions. It’s a difficult situation. by @dmbqnoinsta

FUNKHAUS, Berlin. It's an unbelievably massive sound factory from the East German era. I've been invited to PEOPLE FESTIVAL 26 and an creating work here.
The place is so VAST that I still haven't grasped it's full extent...

東京でのコンサートに来てくださった皆様、ありがとうございました。久しぶりにまた東京で演奏できたことはとても嬉しく、幸せでした。

このコンサートを取りまとめてくれたシンジとダイチ、出演してくれたDMBQ、Feverの皆さん、ゲストとして演奏に参加し、ツアーのイラストも描いてくれたハルカ、本当にありがとう。そして、このコンサートのために大切な楽器を快く貸してくれたユタカ（スーザフォン）とカメ（ハーモニウム）にも心から感謝します。

皆さんのおかげで僕たちも楽しんで演奏することができ、素晴らしいコンサートになりました。
