Today, I’m closing an important chapter of my journey in Germany.

My first job in Germany has come to an end, and it feels like the right moment to reflect on everything this experience has taught me.

What made this journey unique for me is that I came from a completely different professional background. For many years, I worked in the digital and technology field, so stepping into a woodworking workshop was not an obvious next step. It was a new environment, a new profession, and a completely different way of working.

Learning woodworking was both interesting and challenging. It required patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to start from the beginning. There were many moments when I had to learn things I had never dealt with before, and that was exactly what made this experience valuable.

At the same time, the job was about much more than woodworking itself. Moving to a new country means adapting to a different culture, different people, and different ways of communication. Every day was an opportunity to improve my German, communicate with colleagues, and better understand the local mindset.

One of the most interesting parts of this experience was getting used to the Bavarian dialect. Sometimes it felt like learning a second version of German, but it became an important part of integrating into everyday life and building connections with the people around me.

This chapter taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying open to new experiences. It reminded me that professional growth does not always happen in a straight line. Sometimes the most valuable lessons come from stepping into unfamiliar territory and challenging yourself to learn something completely new.

I’m grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and helped make it such a memorable experience.

This chapter is now closed, but I leave it with new skills, new perspectives, greater confidence, and a deeper appreciation for what it means to build a life and career in a new country.

Looking forward to the next challenge and the next opportunity. by @dmdc186
