Mastodon - Aqua Dementia

the end of this song is one of the absolute heaviest things ever written and I will not be taking questions on the matter. perfect. 12/10. no notes.

Balance and Composure - Reflection

I love the melodies in this one so much I might have (definitely) played some of it wrong just to get to them.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - 82588

if y'all thought I was going after anything other than this monster of an ending riff, well - maybe tomorrow. probably not.

Every Time I Die - Fear and Trembling

august '26 was a big one for me. a lot of change. a lot of positive movement. i've started to excavate a lot of ugliness within me. i think this may be the first time in my life that i am actually healing. both myself and the relationships i've damaged over the years. it's been ugly. it's been beautiful. it's been work. i'm grateful to the ones that have been at my six through it all. you know who you are. thanks for being here💛 by @dmfh.wav

Muse - Hysteria

Matt Bellamy is another compositional anomaly in one of the best bands on the planet. Dudes sense of melody is next to unparalleled. This was a super fun one.

Mastodon - I Am Ahab

Leviathan is one of the most influential records of my entire musically oriented existence. Brent was one of the biggest influences on me as a guitarist and a musician in general. RIP to the goat. This one's for you, King.

Eriatarka - The Mars Volta.

EIGHT FUCKIN' HOURS LATER. Finally locked it in.

This is probably my personal highlight from Deloused. What horrors the character has endured through this point and still has many yet to come. I don't know how Omar managed to create/produce these parts, but I am so grateful that he did.

Is it wrong? Feels so wrong.
