Back to back years in the Top 3 of @ibjjf Master 2 No Gi Black Belt Overall Rankings. It is an honor to be able to get an award like this in consecutive years. There are over 1300 Master 2 Black Belt competitors and many talented and high level athletes out there. This award is not about one tournament's results but about consistency. It is about consistently showing up to tournaments and getting results. It is about overcoming the obstacles of life, training and the chaotic world. It is about maintaining the motivation to go through all of the challenges competing has and coming back again the next time. Win or lose, there are many wonderful learnings along the journey and great people that I have met. I have so much pride in these awards and respect for those that go out and put their bodies and egos on the line for competition. Here is to more awards in the future and to continuing to evolve my game. Thank you to all that have supported me along the way, thank you to my competitors that share the mat with me, thank you to the coaches, inspirations and encouragement from so many.
