When someone ask me what kind of photographs I take my answer would be a bit of everything but to narrow it down. Anything from concert, event to nature, streetphotographs. Basically anything where you want to capture a moment or moments without being distracted by a photographer. I an there as a “fly on a wall” principle. Capturing moments, so you can always have a memory of it. Want to see more of my work as a photographer or video’s. Www.dmjproduction.nl

Simplon, Groningen | 11.09.26

We had a blast supporting the great @glazyhazeband at @simplonnl last weekend! We always love heading up North and Groningen was once again proved itself a joy of a city to play in. Special shoutout to the wonderful Simplon crew for being the nicest people and taking such good care of us.

Tonight we hit up @popronde_enschede

See ya there.

Some quiet moments in the city centre of groningen after the rainclouds have cleared away.

This evening after the rain finally cleared away, i went for a walk towards the city centre. With one goal in mind, trying to capture some quiet moments within the busy city centre during blue hour. From trying to fix something on a ebike to trying to remember how to tie a tie. I saw multiple scenes play out infront of me. Tried to capture a few.

Some photographs deserve the love to be seen horizontally, in full. they were never meant to be cropped.

Gjesvær, below the Nordkapp.
There's something about sitting in a small boat with nothing but water, rock and thousands of birds around you that resets your head completely. No plans, no signal, just waiting for the puffins to take off.
You can't direct any of it, you can only be ready for it. And a few moments after the boat ride from @birdsafari_as I went to the skies with my drone and got treated by threse amazing views!

Sometimes the beste medicine is a live music in a good venue!

Some evenings remind you exactly why you do this. Photographing @murdomitchell at @simplonnl last night was one of those moments. After a though few months recovering and taking a step beack for health reasons. Picking up my camera again in a dark concert venue with live music and seeing the crowd so purely enjoying themselves feels incredibly good.

Hopefully more to come soon but for now it was good to be back at simplon again! taken in Simplon by @dmjdenise

because there’s nothing like being in that crowd, feeling the bass, and catching that one shot that gives you that yess feeling every time you look at it.
Concerts have always been my favourite place to capture moments at. The energy, the light, the raw emotion. it’s where I feel most in my element.
Life has had other plans for me for a while, but I’m finding my way back slowly. And honestly? I missed this more than I realized.

it’s been way too long!
There’s something about walking through the city and simply observing the world around me that puts things into perspective. When I’m stressed or overthinking, getting out and seeing that most things are actually just… fine, helps me feel more relaxed. People going about their day, the city moving at its own pace . it’s grounding.
