Tested ZR Control on Nikon ZR over HalowLink WiFi dongles — strong performance up to 300-350ft line of sight. Perfect for crash cams & remote setups. Great range + RED-style monitoring.

It has been a while since I posted any of my latest work. Here's a great short film called Third Wheel. It was a pleasure working with @rawstudios44 to craft the look for this. #ColorGrading #Colorist #DaVinciResolve #BMPCC6K #BlackmagicPocket6K #ShortFilm #Filmmaking #Cinematography #ColorGrade #PostProduction #FilmLook #Cinematic #IndieFilm #BlackmagicDesign #ColorCorrection by @dmorrison.colorist

Walking around Animal Kingdom using the Nikon Z8 8.3k 60fps to capture some beautiful detail shots of the park.

Trying the RedCine X workflow to get RED colors out of the camera. Absolutely stunning in HDR. Loving the results Nikon and RED are giving us out of such small and affordable cameras. Kudos to @insta.graeme.nattress and the team.

People are sleeping on the Nikon Cameras and they really shouldn’t. Can’t wait to put these cameras on a production.

2024 comes to a close. A beautiful sunset walk with a beautiful woman @libvista2010 to bring one of the final days in 2024 to a close. This year has been a tough one and praying everyone’s 2025 is filled with love, joy, laughter, and prosperity. My new endeavor begins with new vigor, new gear, and new drive.

See you all in 2025! by @dmorrison.colorist

The Arri Alexa skin tones have this natural organic look to them. The way it can capture the subtle changes in red hues of skin is not easily seen in other cameras of lesser caliber. When working with the Alexa you don’t really need to augment the skin tones to make them pop. The organic nature of the ALEV III sensor just gives it a filmic style to the image.

Continuing with the Jack Johnson story, creating a more loving warm feeling as the love blossoms is essential for encompassing the viewer in a warm hug. The Alexa keeps beautiful colors faithful to the environment and the skin tones have depth that not many, if any other cameras can capture.
