My first ever attempt at narrating an audiobook. I went in with the confidence of a man who’d never done it. Press record, read the book out loud, done. How hard could it be? Reader, it was hard af!😂 I recorded the whole thing on my iPhone, by the way, in a quiet corner of my bedroom. Five retakes of one sentence and a crash course in sound engineering later, I have a whole new respect for audiobook narrators. It’s part acting, part tech, and all performance. Reading the words is the easy part. I’ve read almost every Dan Brown novel, so getting to voice his words was an honour. Nobody builds a hook like him. An excerpt from the prologue of Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets. First attempt, but don’t be kind. 👀 Tell me what you think. Fan narration. Not affiliated with the author or publisher. #audiobook #narration #voiceover #danbrown #thesecretofsecrets by @dmprince.co

Scenes from the @joburg_film_festival …good conversations, great films, and a reminder of the power of story. Always inspiring to be among people shaping the future of African cinema, a good place to be reminded why we do this. by @dmprince.co
