Nothing beats going into your son’s room (that you just cleaned) to see that he has pulled all the stuffing out of one of his squish-mallows and used it as snow to decorate his Bluey lego house. Points for creativity….I guess? I’m just going to refer to him as “Messy Miles” from now on….. #messymiles by @dmroz

There are some toys I just don’t understand….Zhu Zhu Pets are one of them. You set them up and then…stare at them? I guess? But, I suppose they weren’t made for adults, so maybe they are super cool and I am just not in the loop. 🤷🏻‍♀️ by @dmroz

Had the pleasure of spending some time with my #1 this past weekend while I photographed his youth group’s Winter Retreat. When I asked him if he would be OK with me being there his response was “Ya, it’s fine. Just don’t bother me because I will be busy.” I tried not to “mom” too much other than insisting he put some gloves on while sledding in the 5 degree weather….Nothing is sweeter than seeing a group of kids come together with no phones or distractions to learn about their faith. These kids had an opportunity to escape the pressures of school and personal life for a weekend of fun and the peacefulness they experienced was evident. Sometimes we all need a little retreat from daily life to be reminded of what’s important. ❤️🥰 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20 taken in Expeditions Unlimited by @dmroz

Today marks the first day of this guy’s new job. I’m so happy for him to start a new chapter, but I will also miss all of the quality time we’ve spent together these last 5 months paddle boarding, bike riding, grocery shopping, and finding new ways to enjoy life despite a not so amazing situation. Thank you to everyone who encouraged us, prayed for us, and helped us through this hard time in our lives.
