10 YEARS of DMS Montessori @dmsfranchise ! 🎉❤️

For Dina Scarcelli, DMS Montessori isn’t just a business. It’s something she truly built from the ground up.

Before becoming an owner, Dina worked in the classroom as a Montessori teacher herself. When she started DMS 10 years ago, she did it ALL. Teaching, cooking, cleaning and caring for those first founding families.

Today, some of her favourite memories are still connected to those families and watching their children grow over the years. ❤️

It’s a pretty amazing story of what can happen when you build something you truly care about.

Dina is one of our featured Headliners at the upcoming Support Local Showcase!

📍 VOLT Raceway, Bowmanville
📅 September 17
⏰ 7:00–8:30 PM

Come out, support local and hear more from Dina and some of the amazing local business owners in our community! 🙌

Today, August 31, we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Maria Montessori — a woman whose vision changed education forever and, in so many ways, changed the course of my own life. 🤍

Montessori is so much more to me than a methodology. It is something I believe in with my whole heart.

It is seeing the child for who they truly are — capable, intelligent, curious and deserving of our deepest respect.

It is understanding that our role as adults is not to shape children into who we think they should become, but to prepare the environment, guide with intention, step back when the time is right, and allow them to reveal the incredible person already developing within.

I have dedicated so much of my life to this work because I have seen what authentic Montessori can do. I have watched children become independent, confident, compassionate and deeply connected to learning. And after all these years, I am still inspired by it every single day.

What Maria Montessori discovered more than a century ago continues to live inside our classrooms, our educators, our families, and most importantly, in the children.

Today we honour the woman who taught generations of educators to look at childhood differently.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Maria Montessori. 🌿

Thank you for teaching us to follow the child.
Thank you for reminding us to respect the child.
And thank you for leaving us a legacy that continues to change lives.

"The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind."
— Maria Montessori

🚨 BIGGEST MISTAKE: Not Doing Your Research!

When it comes to choosing a Montessori school, the name “Montessori” alone isn’t enough.
#Dina Scarcelli, owner and operator of @dmsfranchise DMS Montessori School, explains why parents should look deeper and make sure the Montessori education they’re choosing is properly accredited and the philosophy is being executed the way it was intended. 🙌

When it comes to your child’s education, do your research and ask the right questions!

Come hear more from Dina LIVE at the Support Local Showcase!
