Lady Eboshi is one of my favorite characters in anything, ever. She builds and governs her own town, buying the contracts of prostitutes and providing them with not only a safe home, but respect, in return for honest work. She washes the wounds of lepers, who are feared and cast out of society by everyone else. The lepers design guns light enough for the women of the village to wield. She fucks up the animal’s homes in doing this, but not out of hatred. She is flawed, but not evil, despite the animals seeing her as such. Her arm is bitten off and her home is destroyed, perhaps in just. She rebuilds, she heals, she grows, and she overcomes.

I value stories like this, which show many sides. Nothing is ever as black and white as good and evil alone. People are gray, see with eyes unclouded. by @dmtbebop

Found an old box full of hundreds of your faces

It’s weird when you are young, experiencing the happiest times of your life, how you don’t even realize it’s happening and then spend the rest of your life looking back on it. When I was depressed, Ross used to just show up to my house regardless of if I was ignoring him or not. He would literally pull me out of bed by my ankles, dress me, put me in his car, and take me someplace to touch grass. Ross had a really special and easy way of being a good friend. If you knew Ross, you knew joy, you knew how it felt to laugh until you cried. Some of the happiest times in my life were spent with Ross, “the boys” will never die. I wish I could pull him by the ankles out of his bed now. There are no words that can express the regret that I am feeling, but more than regret I feel love.
