One of my annual goals is to give at least one group session about money, and I got my chance when Ms. Kaje of Little Ladies for the Future asked me to give a short talk to young girls about money. I rarely get the chance to talk to girls this young, so watch to see:

• How it went
• What they learned
• How it went off the rails

There are so many other aspects of money I could’ve talked about, but I only had so much time. I absolutely loved this talk though! And the girls seemed to retain it. Please talk to your kids about money, there’s so much to learn. Teach ‘em young.

🔑 This one should’ve been taught in middle school, which is when I first started earning money. I was a 13-year old, working as a babysitter and re-selling candy in school. It was my first time trading my time for money, and learning to profit from a product in a closed environment and I’ve never looked back. I have, however, learned not to spend my money before I’ve earned it. Even more, I’ve learned to invest my money, save it, and then spend it, in that order. It took me MANY years of earning to get to this point, and I’m glad to be here. 🔑

🤔 With so much commotion and confusion this week regarding Game Stop, AMC, RobinHood, short-selling, etc., this is as good a time as any to remind you to invest only in what you can understand. There are many things you can invest in, and individual stocks are one of the most volatile.

🔑 If you want to create long-term profit, make long-term investments. That means making incremental contributions, all the time. Not just when a flashy investment story hits your timeline. Because by the time that happens, you’re probably too late.
