Record breaking supercar gathering🇿🇦

The @supercarrhinorun, organised by @ferriscarssa, put on a spectacular display in Joburg this past weekend, shutting down the highway for over 300 cars to cruise together en route to the @kyalamigrandprixcircuit. Officially the biggest supercar run/meet in Africa’s history.

There were 2 reasons for this. The first and primary being an incredible initiative put together to help save the rhinos, and the second being an attempt to break a @guinnessworldrecords. Specific criteria was needed to count certain cars into the “supercar” category, with the number to beat of 179 Supercars gathered in one place, being in Cambodia. With an official final count of 243 Supercars, we as South Africans can be proud to say we are the new record holder!

Top evening at the @gasmotorshow with @sungkangsta.

For a moment, it felt like something straight out of a Fast & Furious movie, but the real reason for Sung’s visit is more personal. He’s currently on a global tour promoting his upcoming film, @driftermovie, an independent project that he wrote, directed, and produced. A film by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts.

The crowd was treated to an exclusive teaser of the film, followed by an in-depth Q&A session and meet-and-greet, giving fans the opportunity to connect with the iconic star. We also had the privilege of chatting to one of the film’s producers, thanks to @callaghnrobertson, to gain insight into the making of Drifter, the decision to pursue an independent production, and when audiences can expect to see it.

Of course, we couldn’t arrive empty-handed. We brought along a heavily modified Nissan Patrol from @moto.village which felt right at home among the incredible cars on display. With 375kW and 700Nm from a forged, single-turbo straight-six, it certainly made its presence known🔥

Dubai is on a totally different level.

@_rameer was lucky enough to spend some time in the UAE and got to uncover some of the most exclusive cars in the world. From an R34 driven by Paul Walker, to 2 insane Lambo combos featuring a Sian and a Centenario. It’s honestly ridiculous. That is just the tip of the iceberg.

He managed to vlog his entire day for us, going through infamous dealerships like @alainclassmotors, @f1rstmotors, @vipmotorsuae and more. Part 1 of this little trip is up on my YouTube channel, be sure to check it out because the cars that were seen are mind blowing!

The Bugatti Grand Tour returns to Cape Town!

It’s not everyday that 7 Bugattis take over the Western Cape. In fact the last time something like this happened was 7 years ago in 2019 and I honestly can’t remember having a better time, until now. This was genuinely the best 2 days since then that I’ve ever had locally. The presence of these cars just made Cape Town feel more alive and energetic. The endless reactions on the road from the public is a testament to how special this moment was.

Seeing any Bugatti is special, but there were 3 that caught my eye during this rally. One of which being the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition, a car I’ve been wanting to see for ages. It payed tribute to the achievement of being the world’s fastest car without a roof and they only made 8 in the entire world to celebrate this. It was subsequently beaten by another car in attendance, the Bugatti Mistral, of which they only made 99 units. This is also the last Bugatti to feature the infamous 8.0L W16 engine, a car I never expected to ever see. The final car that caught my attention was @materimac personal Chiron Sport, finished in full blue carbon fibre with custom red inserts on the interior.

Meeting Mate was also quite a moment for us and one of the best interactions ever. He also really enjoyed seeing the E36 M3 that we were using, which was unexpected!

All in all, it was a joyful and epic experience, and one I will never forget. Thank you to everyone involved! You can check out all the action in my latest video.

The first Pagani Utopia is here!🇿🇦

The last time I saw this exact car was in 2025 at @fosgoodwood, so it was a pleasant surprise getting to see it again today. Now it gets to be enjoyed locally!

Finished in exposed maroon carbon fibre with a gorgeous interior, it makes for a really solid spec. Only 130 will be made, and this is a demo model that will be on display at @daytona_za in the V&A Waterfront.

Say hello to the latest Pagani to arrive in SA!

This Huayra Roadster BC has just been freshly imported by @freightfactory and sent straight to @scsautomotive

Finished in Blu Francia mixed with Pagani’s signature exposed carbon fibre and gold wheels with matching side pin-stripes, it makes for a great spec. It is also fitted with the roof scoop. Interestingly, more than half of all Roadster BC’s produced were optioned with the roof scoop. It is 1 of around 40 units built worldwide, this one being number 22.

It’s always a treat seeing new hypercars coming into the country. Although this one won’t be here for too long, seeing it in person was special. Congrats to @ameerhnaran on the new acquisition👏

Truly a great weekend out at the @speedclassic.capetown 💨

Legendary day out🤯

Usually we go to car events in a car, this time we went in a helicopter! We took to the sky with @moyaaviation for the @carsandcopters_sa launch event, chasing 30 supercars as we headed to @krone.world in Tulbagh.

This was the first event of its kind to take place in Africa and it was unlike anything I’ve experienced before! A truly special day.

This month marks the 20th Anniversary of the first Bugatti Veyron that rolled off the production line.

A true pioneer of the hypercar era, timeless and elegant. Its sheer brute force allowed it to smash the top speed record at the time, setting the benchmark for performance and redefining what was possible.

Even today, the Veyron remains one of the most iconic cars ever built, with its influence pushing other manufacturers to achieve new heights and go even further, sparking a new era of competition.

I’ve always loved these cars and I’ll never get tired of seeing them. While they’re notoriously known for being expensive to maintain, I still think they’re undervalued compared to other cars of the era, and only 450 were produced in its entirety. To celebrate its legacy, I thought I’d make a post by sharing every Veyron I’ve seen to date.
