✨I'm tired, but I'm still here.

I love to write. I love coming up with the story. I love finding the right words for it. I love reconfiguring and analyzing and slowly turning the story into the best version of itself. I love hearing how the pieces of myself that I worked into the story have touched people and changed the way they see themselves or the world.

I don't love being on social media this much. I don't love marketing my books like a stressed robot. I don't love how much time that takes away from my writing. I don't love the jealousy I get when other authors have the privilege of writing more because they have more means, better connections, or write less queer, trans, or disabled stories.

I'm still not sure exactly where this leaves me.

Maybe it's finding an agent and a publisher so I have someone else to advocate for my books while I get to focus more on writing them.

Maybe it's admitting that because I have to maintain a day job to survive, I need to put more energy into career goals and less into writing.
