They talk about chapters in life. This chapter was a special one. Recently I was offered a full time position as a strength and conditioning coach at my kiddos’ school. It was an “easy” decision on paper but one that broke my heart.

I’ve had the honor to train some of the best professionals in the world and in that same space, individuals that have never once stepped inside a gym. The joy of movement and the freedom that fitness allows are things that are undervalued and taken for granted…but not at DNA. Majority of my athletes came with a purpose.

As years passed and as DNA has grown, the training space has evolved into one full of experience, energy, heartache, 90s alternative rock, triumph, but mostly importantly community. As an introvert that’s extroverted with people that I love and are close with, DNA has been a wonderful place for me and hopefully for many of my athletes (although I only hear about the torture I put them thru 😆).

With that being said, it will hopefully still be that. DNA will be moving into a smaller space upstairs in the dole cannery shops and Jimmy, @j_thibs10 , will be taking care of my athletes during the week. I know they will be in great hands. I’ll be at DNA at a very limited capacity but will make sure to stop by and see how everyone is doing.

I want to thank everyone for making DNA possible. This “passion project” was truly one that I had a deep passion for. I’m so grateful for the relationships that have been cultivated and the love and laughs we’ve shared.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

I had the honor to play a round with the greatest president in modern day history a few weeks ago. The experience was surreal but oddly familiar as if playing with a friend you haven't seen in a while. From jabs to hitting a putt short or just walking the fairways discussing what our kids are up to, the warmth of the conversations never ceased to amaze me.

In the world of politics today, where we are constantly being gaslit by the current administration and our democracy is being sold to the highest bidder, it's a great sorrow to know how good we had it. No one is perfect but when there is a true love for the country and a genuine yearning to help and protect all of America and not just a few, that to me epitomizes the job of the presidency.

Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you for your years of service and continued devotion to all Americans...and for the great round of golf filled with laughs and banter. Thank you to @malia.nam, my amazing LPGA pro and DNA athlete, who gave me a round to remember for a lifetime 🫶🏽. Also a big thank you goes out to Mike, the president's assistant, and short game extraordinaire, for coordinating all of it.

Happy President's Day. by @dna_performance
