Clementina “Sustainable Latina” our founder @dnathreds and Environmental Ambassador @youngartistawds is honored to join the LA Committee for “Dear Everything”, a climate musical. The committee includes notable artists and public figures such as @janefonda Fonda, Rosario Dawson, AnnieLennox @officialannielennox , and Dylan McDermott to name a few, you can view flyer attached to see all involved.

💚Thank you @mayasideas Maya Penn and Susan Celia Swan for trusting in our work and this opportunity to be a part of something that will transform society and give hope.

🎤The @deareverythingonstage musical is written by Tony Award winners V @vdayorg and Diane Paulus, with music by Grammy nominee Justin Tranter (known for work with @chappellroan Roan and @selenagomez Gomez).

🎸In the form of a musical concert, Dear Everything features riveting performances and is driven by galvanizing and inspiring pop and folk music, with stories centered around the challenge of adults focused on surviving the challenges of ‘NOW’ as youth hold a fierce commitment to secure their future. The cast of eleven actors/singers, backed by a dynamic youth choir, portrays families in a small town trying to survive and thrive during a time when everything around them – and us – is changing rapidly.

🎶Dear Everything is full of righteous outrage that informs and inspires, and features musical anthems that will bring audiences to their feet. The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus will perform and V-DAY founder V (formerly Eve Ensler) will take the stage as the narrator of this mythological tale of transformation and hope. V-Day board member, youth activist/media entrepreneur Maya Penn @mayasideas has assembled a Dear Everything Youth Climate Council to uplift and amplify the work of local area groups.

Impact 26 a few weeks ago.

Here are some highlights that started the night before with hosting a welcoming Happy Hour event for Trellis Impact by @womencleantech and @trellisworkspace

Opening the conference was by @danielluriesf as he addressed businesses and the circular economy.

Inspired by all the speakers, keynotes and networking opportunities as we gathered to listen on how we can all make a difference in our own work spaces with small or large companies. We all have a role as recycling and circular systems continue to be integrated in business models.

Hi friends! Short intro to all my new followers and as a refresher for my current followers. My name is Clementina with moniker “Sustainable Latina™️” I am the founder of @dnathreds and used to be a fast fashion designer. What? I know… a shocker for some of you 😵But this is what gives me my superpower with all the inside knowledge.

⏳For the last 16+ years I have dedicated my life to slow fashion. I am currently a creative director and lead in circular fashion producing designs made from secondhand goods, films with awareness to consumers, art installations and climate education for textile recovery. Bringing attention to textile waste, overconsumption, plastic fashion and policy. I am also a fashion stylist. I style incredible individuals doing amazing work in the environmental, cultural and entertainment spaces. Each one choosing my services in design and styling to make less impact on our planet but still have fun and stand out with their own unique looks. Detailed in upcycled Sway (@swaythefuture )seaweed material, this jacket represents a future where fashion works in harmony with nature rather than against it. Styled piece by: @dnathreds

Inspired by the impactful environmental work of Isaias Hernandez and the beauty of native coastal redwoods of Joaquin Miller Park, this piece reflects the connection between land, humanity, and sea. It is a reminder that our natural resources are sacred, and that the next generation is redefining sustainability through culture, innovation, and respect for the Earth. Somos tierra y mar.

The green, transparent “fabric” on this jacket is a flexible, home compostable film created by Sway: a California biomaterial company innovating materials of the future. They are primarily focused on scaling their material into packaging that can replace ubiquitous single-use plastic — but shared some of their archival material for Clementina and I to play with!

As a Bay Area circular fashion designer, artist and filmmaker, I am obsessed with @bootsriley Boots Riley’s film “I Love Boosters” @iloveboostersmovie that is currently in theaters.

🔵I had the opportunity to watch the film screening several weeks ago and hear them speak on it. I’m excited for everyone to watch and share their thoughts on it.
Mainstream media views fashion films as surface-level glamour, but this story hits directly at the core of my work with @dnathreds and @sustainable.latina In “I Love Boosters”, the “Velvet Gang” targets a luxury fashion maven. Who reminds me of my fast fashion bosses to the tea. To me, this isn’t just a heist comedy, it’s a radical satire on corporate exploitation of garment workers, the environmental devastation of overproduction, fashion as a literal battleground for class warfare and culture theft.

🟢My work focuses on upcycling, eco
avant-garde and fashion as a tool for systemic resistance and change. The genius mind of Boots Riley always uses
storytelling to dismantle corporate greed, making this film a mirror to the grassroots slow fashion revolution we are building every day.
