Deep gratitude to the VOX team! “The Secret Sharer is a unique theater experience in the way that they mix and multiply the use of different media to create a story that’s almost like a dance that weaves in and out of itself. Perhaps the highlight of the show, though, is the striking difference in this theater experience, which is that the audience itself is invited to take up space and shape the show. It’s a very intimate audience experience that happens in the round, and there’s two rows on either side of the staging area. Sort of like the port and starboard sides of the boat. So there’s a confinement and an openness that gets explored in tandem, both for the performers and the audience members alike.” - Dave Heard, Audio Describer for The Secret Sharer.

Think Outside the VOX is powering two accessible performances of DNAWORKS’ and ArtsEmerson’s The Secret Sharer Thursday April 30th at 7:30pm and Sunday May 3rd at 2:00pm– both are ASL-interpreted and Audio Described with Black, Brown and Queer access providers and Deaf/disabled creatives leading! @deafayisha @dave_theactor @davoicecr eli.onyeabor @30.theremix Director of Artistic Sign Language Ayisha Knight-Shaw shares about the show and story in ASL.
