POSTS STORIES REELS

History takes flight in the DMV—on view only through November 12th. ✈️🏛️

Teased at BUTTER Fine Art Fair in Indianapolis, the Aviatrix series has officially made its full debut in Virginia.

The exhibition is a visual double entendre on “art history,” merging fine art directly into historical record. Using augmented reality, animation, and mixed media, it brings the untold stories of early aviation’s backbone to the forefront: Bessie Coleman, Willa Brown, Janet Harmon Bragg, and Mildred Hemmons Carter.

Already collected by the Willa Brown family and families of former Tuskegee Airmen, this isn’t just an art show—it’s living history. Catch it before the first stop wraps up!

What’s bigger than being a pilot? Making pilots. ✈️

Meet Willa Brown: the first Black woman in the U.S. to earn a commercial pilot’s license and the mentor who trained hundreds of pilots—many going on to become Tuskegee Airmen. She didn’t just fly; she built the runway.

See her legacy brought to life in Aviatrix by Ken Shep, presented and curated by @dndinfinitygroup.

Red dots only. 🔴

Nothing means more than seeing these works find their exact right homes. First editions have been officially acquired and placed—including pieces held closely with the Willa Brown family and estate, alongside new collectors catching wind of the work.

With most of the first editions claimed, we are already onto second editions.

Only two weeks left for the Aviatrix exhibition in Virginia before it hits the road.

For acquisition inquiries and custom placements, email info@dndinfinitygroup.com or send a direct message before they take flight. ✈️

Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to the front, please! 🩷💚

We had the pink and green outside at Butter, and now we brought it home to the DMV.

Inside Aviatrix by Ken Shep, we’re honoring the legendary Willa Brown. Flight school taught her to fly, but the sisterhood gave her everything else.

Accessibility isn’t a compromise-it’s the standard. 4
The idea that serious art must be complicated is pure gatekeeping. Art should speak directly to the people and community it represents.

Behind the vibrant colors of Aviatrix by Ken Ahep lies months of deep historical research.

The joy brings you through the door, and the history is what you take home.

Aviatrix is currently on display at the Workhouse Arts Center (Lorton, VA). Come experience it for

Capability was never the question—exclusion was.

In 1943, over a thousand women earned their wings through the WASP program. Yet Black aviators like Janet Harmon Bragg and Mildred Hemmons Carter—fully licensed and ready—were turned away simply because of who they were.

Ken Shep’s Aviatrix forces us to confront the silences in our history and honor the wings that were denied their place in the sky. History is only lost when we stop telling it.
