In 2019, @nethmieh reached out to me with the beautiful opportunity to be part of a special project celebrating Womanhood. Looking back, it was so much more than a photoshoot; it was a celebration of women, their stories, and the journeys that have shaped who they are.

A few weeks ago, I spontaneously decided to buy a secondary camera to capture everyday moments and it has been the best decision. I’ve been challenged to photograph almost daily which trains my eye to be intentionally creative. Enjoy the carousel of photos with no specific theme or order. 😎

8 years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph one of the closest people in my life.

Photographing people is the most exciting experience, where you get to draw a person’s personality into a visual frame, moments frozen in time that becomes a memory for the future to look back and reminisce.

However photographing people you love, where you spend decades together is a gift from God. You don’t just photograph faces and emotions but years of friendship, life together unseen to the world — the joy, pain, misunderstandings, the comfort and support when you need and do not expect; all of this captured in a visual frame. A visual frame that is hidden from the world but inexpressibly vibrant to the three of us and a few around us, it’s a blessing!

While the above images are aesthetically pleasing and portrays exactly what Instagram feed wants to see, our camera roll bares true witness to our friendship, craziness and unmatched joy that is difficult to put to words. Only if I could share those images. 😂
