we transformed a warehouse into the world of Second Skin.

[DSF0001] a multi disciplinary art exhibition, brought together photography, moving image, performance, writing, conversation and sound, expanding the record beyond music and into a living, shared space.

the eve began in Space No.1 with a screening of a Q&A mini-film I made with @do.sumfing & a photography exhibition by @daubbbbbbbbbbbb inspired by Second Skin. Guests were then led upstairs into the warehouse, where the project unfolded into (of course) a party and a 🤫 performance by myself, @leylahorsham and @morganboraine my other skins , soundtracked by a reworking of the EP’s four tracks that I made for the show.

[DSF0001] was the first of our multidisciplinary artistic collaboration series.

[DSF0001] Second Skin is an immersive, multidisciplinary art exhibit exploring masking, rebirth, and true identity. It asks: What lies beneath the skin we present to the world?

-the project creates an environment where audiences confront the tension between transformation and exposure. The “second skin” becomes a symbol of life, death, and renewal — shedding one form to reveal another.
