Week 1 of Arts By Hearts 3.0 is complete, and what a beautiful start it has been.

We began by getting to know our participants through arts, creativity, collaboration, conversations, and storytelling. Through paint, colours, and teamwork, we became a community.

We moved into Identity Building, where our Identity Coach helped the teenagers understand who they are, challenge limiting beliefs, and begin crafting personal vision statements for their future.

The following days were dedicated to healing. Through counselling sessions, participants explored topics around trauma, mental health, emotional well-being, and resilience. Beyond the group sessions, each teenager had the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with our counsellors, creating safe spaces for reflection and growth.

We wrapped up the week with an impactful Growth Session, where our Growth Coach challenged the participants to dream bigger, see possibilities, and take ownership of their future.

To close the week, we shared clothing items generously donated by friends, partners, and supporters. The smiles, gratitude, and excitement on their faces reminded us why this work matters.

Here’s a glimpse into a week filled with healing, discovery, growth, hope, and transformation.

What if every abandoned teenager was seen as a future nation-builder?

That’s the question that started Do-nation. We refuse to believe a nation can truly progress while its youth are left behind. The issue is big homelessness, neglect, a cycle of poverty but we see these not as barriers, but as opportunities to rewrite stories.

Our vision is to create a world of hope for the younger generation. We do this by creating safe spaces, providing education and skills, and restoring broken identities, one teenager at a time.

Swipe to see who we are, the problem we’re solving, and why your support is vital.

Transformation isn’t a job for one it’s for a community of changemakers. Are you in?

Days 3 & 4

Transformation is about more than just acquiring new skills; it is about honoring the past and healing the wounds we have carried for years.

Over these three powerful days, our participants embarked on a transformative journey through group and individual counseling sessions centered on emotional well-being, resilience, and trauma awareness. By creating a space to reflect, question, and share, we helped our participants realize a fundamental truth: healing is possible.

Through guided assessments and deep, intentional conversations, our counselors gained invaluable insight into each participant’s unique experience. This understanding allows us to offer more personalized, effective support as they move forward.

The cornerstone of the week was the one-on-one counseling sessions. In a private and confidential space, every participant was given the opportunity to simply be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

We are profoundly grateful to our counselors for fostering an environment rooted in compassion, trust, and hope. The seeds of healing have been planted, and we are honored to witness their growth.

We were waiting for our facilitators and I decided to engage the kids, but we ended up having a revision class.
Their transformation is a testament that nothing is impossible.

Day 2 of the ongoing Arts By Hearts 3.0 was all about Identity.
Before transformation can happen, a young person must first understand who they are.
Our participants spent the day exploring identity, self-worth, purpose, and possibility. They challenged limiting beliefs, reflected on their future, and crafted personal vision statements for the lives they want to build.
A special thank you to Coach Elisha @theelishajoseph for leading such a powerful and impactful session. Your wisdom, insight, and intentionality helped our participants see themselves beyond their current circumstances and embrace the possibilities ahead.
The journey continues, but a strong foundation has been laid.

Day 1 was all about connection, creativity, and community.

Through our famous Arts By Hearts initiative, the kids painted, collaborated, laughed, shared stories, and began getting comfortable with one another.

What may look like a simple art session was actually the beginning of trust-building, self-expression, and discovery.

A special thank you to our Art Facilitator @boluokeartistry , for creating such an engaging and safe space for the teenagers to express themselves freely and creatively.

This is where the journey began.

And what a beautiful start it has been.
