🚨An important message about our drawing sessions

The team at Doable Guys is saddened by the recent accusations against our figure drawing group. The reason we started the group was to create a space where everyone felt welcome and comfortable. If we have failed at that with any of you, we deeply apologize from the bottom of our hearts. The team (Kyle, Lena, Court, and Michael) will always be open to feedback and conversations, and if you ever feel otherwise, we encourage you to approach us at any time, in person, through email, or in our DMs. We are obviously not perfect, but we understand that everyone’s idea of “comfortable” is different, and we will try our best to accommodate everyone.

We would also like to reiterate that we put our model’s comfort at the top of our priorities. We provide an open forum for them to express themselves however they would like, and that can be seen in the wide variety of poses that are shared by our talented group of artists. Absolutely everyone who walks through that door, artist or model, should not feel any uneasiness in that room.

Moving forward, all artists must be members to draw with us. This pains us most of all. We want everyone to feel welcome; we want new people to be able to experience figure drawing. Adding the phrase “members only” sounds like gatekeeping, which is the antithesis of our mission statement. However, it must be done, and we aren’t asking for much. To become a member you must join our mailing list. (Folks who are currently figure drawing members will be upgraded to a Premium membership, with all the same benefits as before. Expect an email by the end of the week.)

We can no longer publicize who the model will be on instagram or publicly on our website. The only announcement will be through our members mailing list.

The front door will remain locked. To gain access until a buzzer is installed, please text the number provided in the mailing list and we will let you in. That said, any late arrivals (after 7:05) will have to wait outside until the following break to be let in.

We’re sorry for any confusion or frustration this may cause, reach out to the DG team with any questions. by @doableguys

Wasteland, a new art novel by Jason Haaf and Scooter LaForge, is a visceral experience that is both visually explosive and philosophical. It’s raw, vulnerable, and most of all, tantalizing to read.

This excerpt captures the restless energy of Wasteland, blending whimsy, introspection, and confession through art, prose, and poetry.
