Và rồi, tư duy của J thay đổi hoàn toàn.

Bản chất J là người thích cho đi và giúp đỡ người khác — điều đó đến tự nhiên, không cần cố gắng. Nhưng lớn lên là chị hai trong một typical Asian family, J sớm nhận ra là tình yêu đi kèm với điều kiện. Và dù nhiều lúc mình làm rất nhiều, có lúc nó cũng không đủ. Tại sao mình vẫn cảm giác không được yêu bằng em ? Thế nên little J bắt đầu so sánh, dò xét, tính toán — không phải vì J ích kỷ, mà vì đó là cách duy nhất J biết để kiểm soát lượng tình yêu J nhận được và cảm thấy an toàn.

Và vết hằn đó theo J vào tất cả các mối quan hệ về sau — và lần nào cái “toxic trait” này cũng dẫn đến kết thúc.

Vấn đề là, thật sự J cũng mới nhận ra, khi bạn tính toán thiệt hơn với một người có ngôn ngữ tình yêu, tính cách và cách giao tiếp hoàn toàn khác mình — bạn đang đo bằng thước đo sai. Bạn nhìn vào những dấu hiệu không phản ánh tình yêu của họ, rồi kết luận rằng tình yêu đó không đủ. Sự thất vọng tích tụ. Oán giận lớn dần. Và bạn trở nên dễ bùng nổ chỉ vì một điều nhỏ — trong khi thực ra, đó là cả một đống cảm xúc bị đo sai từ trước.

Đó là lý do câu nói này chạm đến J đến vậy. “Những gì ta cho đi không phải lúc nào cũng quay trở lại, nhưng những gì ta cho đi luôn là chính ta.”

Dù J đã cố gắng healing và tập tình yêu vô điều kiện nhiều năm nay — vì JJ và Chiu, vì người mình yêu, đây là điều J vẫn chưa làm tốt: đối xử tốt với người mình yêu theo cách mình muốn và họ xứng đáng — không phải giựa trên lượng tình yêu mà mình đã đo. Thả lõng tinh thần và không để bụng.

J nghĩ đây chắc cũng là một bài khó học cho nhiều người. Khi tính toán thiệt hơn mãi — dễ trở nên oán giận, rồi luôn phản ứng. Và càng ngày, những người họ yêu càng bắt đầu rút lùi và xa cách. Sự xa cách đó lại càng kích hoạt nỗi sợ, càng đẩy vòng lặp đi xa hơn. Cho đến một ngày mối quan hệ không còn chặt chẽ — không phải vì một cuộc cãi vã lớn, mà chỉ vì sức nặng của việc đo lượng tình yêu và expecting ROI. Dù với con cái hay partner, hay bạn bè.

Same flight, but different ways to spend it.

I filmed, I ate, I stared out the window, then filmed some more. He fell asleep before takeoff and didn’t wake up until we landed. Honestly? Can’t blame him 😂 — Cathay’s seats are dangerously comfortable.

BST đánh dấu 10 năm Uniqlo U vừa về tới tay J.

Gu J vốn thích minimal, nên lần này mình dành thời gian mặc thử kỹ hơn: từ một chiếc đầm nhẹ nhàng, đến khi layer đủ lớp cho ngày lạnh sâu — vẫn tối giản mà không hề đơn điệu.

I still can’t believe I got to stay at the wonderful @capellabangkok for Jimmy’s recent guest shift at the beautiful @stellabar.bangkok <3

Not a hotel review post, just saving the impressions here.
If I were to review, I would mention the incredible service, the hospitality, the spacious rooms, the extremely comfortable bed, the delivious room service, the convenience of the shuttle boat to Icon Siam, and the aesthetic though.

I took photos of the coconuts, because we got two coconuts as compensation for one piece of luggage being brought up to the room later.

I’d recommend Capella to friends who want exclusivity, plan to shop at Icon Siam a lot and love a quiet luxury aesthetic. I would not necessary recommend it to families with toddlers or small kids, as I didn’t notice any kids facilities.
