Hey there! If you are new here, welcome. And if you have been following along for a while, we are so glad you are here. 🤍

I am Stephanie, founder of Dobson Interiors serving Lake Norman, Charlotte, and beyond. As a mom of five with over a decade of experience leading large projects, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to take on a home renovation or redesign while life is already full.

That is exactly why I do this work. To be the pressure release valve my clients need.

We work with homeowners at every stage. Whether you are building from the ground up, renovating an existing space, or ready to refresh your home with beautiful furnishings and styling, we have a way to work together that is right for you. No matter where you are in the process, if you have a space that is not working for your family, that is exactly where we come in.

Swipe through to learn more about the ways we work together and when you are ready, start with the inquiry form linked in our bio. We would love to hear about your project. ✨

Turns out, there is a point in being blue. 😉💙

Here’s a look into the finished product for Project No Point in Being Blue. A calming, detail-rich bath and powder room transformation that shows how beautifully soft color, layered texture, and timeless charm work together.

From patterned floors to custom vanities and a freestanding tub, every inch was designed to feel both elevated and easy to live in. I’m so happy this client was open to letting me be creative with pattern and wallpaper.

Being in this luxurious bathroom just feels GOOD. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement.

Swipe through for a closer look.

Get a glimpse of a recent wallpaper installation in our client’s office 💫

Wallpaper has such a way of completely changing the feel of a space, and we love seeing a selection we’ve spent so much time thinking through finally make its way onto the walls.

Plus of course, a beautiful wallpaper deserves an equally beautiful installation. We’re so grateful for the amazing @yourwallflowerllc for bringing this one to life.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a design is ever presented to our clients.

Reviewing materials, comparing finishes, refining selections, and considering how each element contributes to the overall vision.

It’s this attention to detail throughout the design process that helps us create thoughtfully designed spaces.

Photography day behind the scenes. 📸

Some styling, adjusting, fluffing, and yes, even dusting is involved to make sure every detail is just right before the camera clicks. It takes a little bit of everything to get the perfect shot.

Grout. One of those decisions that feels like it should be simple…but somehow never is. 😂

It can easily become an afterthought, but the grout color can completely change how a tile reads. Do we want it to disappear and let the tile be the focus? Add just enough contrast to show off the pattern? Warm it up? Cool it down?

It may be a small detail, but it’s a very important one.

Hot take: timeless > trendy. ✨

When we’re selecting fabrics, we’re not just thinking about what looks beautiful right now. We’re always thinking about what will still feel beautiful 5, 10, even 15 years from now.

Now timeless doesn’t have to mean neutral or boring either. We love mixing in color, pattern, and texture wherever we can. It’s all about choosing them intentionally so they add personality without making a home feel tied to a particular trend or moment in time.

At the end of the day, we want our clients to love their interiors for years, not feel like they need to redesign them when the next trend comes along.

Do you agree? Share below in the comments.

41% of U.S. construction spending now goes toward remodeling, and honestly, it makes sense. 👀

So many homeowners love where they live, but their homes just don’t work quite the way they need them to anymore. And if you’ve been in your home for a while, with a great mortgage rate, it makes sense that you’d want to stay in place and make your home work for this next phase of life.

If a renovation is on your radar, one thing we like to talk through early is the full investment. That means thinking beyond construction and making sure we’re also planning for the furniture, window treatments, rugs, and all of the pieces that will eventually finish those newly renovated spaces.

It’s much easier to have those conversations at the beginning than to get to the end of a renovation and realize you didn’t account for everything you wanted to do. Because why go through all of the work to recreate something amazing, only to fill it with furnishings that aren’t aligned with your beautiful new spaces?

We’re currently booking renovation + furnishings projects for 2027-2028. If you’ve been thinking about making some changes to your home, we’d love to hear about it by filling out our inquiry form at the link in our bio! ✨

Just a little snippet of a day in the life at Dobson Interiors. 🤗

First things first, Tanja and I are arriving at the office with our packed lunches in hand because if we don’t bring them with us, there’s a very good chance we’ll look at the clock at 2 PM and realize we forgot to eat. 😂

From there, it’s site visit time, checking progress, talking through details, answering questions, and making sure everything is coming together as planned.

Some days we’re at our desks, some days we’re running all over town, and most days are a little bit of both. No two days ever look quite the same around here.

A bathroom that feels like him now, with plenty of staying power. ✨

Designed for our client’s college-aged son, we balanced a masculine, youthful feel with warm wood tones, layered neutrals and timeless finishes that won’t feel tied to one season of life.
Because the best family spaces feel personal today, and ready for what comes next.

We’re now booking projects for 2027! If you’re dreaming about what’s next for your home, we’d love to hear about it. Inquire through the link in our bio.
