There’s something about autumn in New York. 🍂

The changing leaves, long walks through Central Park, favorite restaurants, and that unmistakable energy of the city in the fall.

We’re heading back next week, this time with Olive in tow. 🐾🫒

A little Autumn in New York with my family is just what I’m looking forward to. 🤎 by @doc_reesie

A girl who knows what she wants. And what she absolutely does not. 😂🐾 by @doc_reesie

Summer, in pictures. ☀️

From the Chesapeake to Sun Valley, New York to England, and one last tennis weekend in Las Vegas.

There were long summer days by the water, mountain trails, family adventures, celebrations, a few very good meals, a lot of tennis, and more than a little time spent living out of a suitcase.

But the best parts weren’t really the places. They were the people I shared them with…and the reasons we went.

A few favorite scenes before I officially turn the page to fall. 🤍

And judging by what’s ahead, fall isn’t exactly going to be quiet. 🍂 by @doc_reesie

NYC, our way. 🎾🗽

Three nights, just the two of us, continuing a tradition we started back in 2014 when we were still living in San Francisco.

Every year we come to New York around the anniversary of the night we met, and somehow our formula never gets old: lots of tennis, miles and miles of walking, a spa afternoon, very good food, getting dressed up, staying out too late — and plenty of time to simply have fun together.

This year: the US Open, Central Park and Midtown on foot, spa time at the newly reopened @waldorfnyc Astoria (more on that in my next Hotel Note 👀), dinners at @altroparadiso, @gramercytavern, and @425restaurant, and a late night at Aman Jazz Club. 🎶

Oh, and apparently former professional tennis players play pickleball now. Shhh…don’t tell the tennis world. 🤫🎾

Twelve years of this little NYC tradition — and still one of my favorite weekends of the year. ❤️

And that last photo? Our very first US Open together, back in 2014. 🥹🎾 by @doc_reesie

Two years ago this week, I stepped into an entirely new chapter. ✨

My first year in travel was spent learning the business through Embark Beyond’s year-long apprentice program. This past year was different: my first full year navigating this extraordinary industry as an independent luxury travel advisor.

It’s been a year of traveling, learning, building relationships around the world, experiencing extraordinary hotels and destinations firsthand — and, most importantly, creating trips that (hopefully!) became some of my clients’ most meaningful memories.

Along the way, I’ve learned so much about this industry and about the kind of advisor I want to be.

I’m incredibly grateful to the clients who have trusted me with their travels, and to the mentors, colleagues, hotel partners and friends who have welcomed, taught, supported and traveled alongside me.

Two years in — still learning, still exploring, and very excited to see where year three takes me. ❤️

City. Coast. Country. And nine blissful nights together. 🤍

Just back from England, where we celebrated five years of marriage—and for the first time in a very long time, I took a trip that was truly a vacation. No work. No hotel tours. No site inspections. Just the two of us, exploring somewhere new together.

We started with two nights in London at the gorgeous, newly opened The Chancery Rosewood; traded the city for three nights by the sea at the charming, family-owned The Nare in Cornwall; and finished with four wonderfully unhurried days in the Hampshire countryside at Heckfield Place.

There were boat rides and long walks by the sea, St. Ives and Poldark country, tennis and yoga, an afternoon at the spa, Stonehenge, incredible meals, beautiful flowers, and plenty of time with nowhere else we needed to be.

But what I’ll remember most is how good it felt to simply be together: to slow down, laugh a lot, explore, eat well, sleep late, and just enjoy each other’s company.

Five years in, I think that may be my favorite kind of luxury.

Happy anniversary, David. I’d choose you all over again. 🤍 by @doc_reesie

Greetings from Truro! David and I are on an adventure together in England - through city, coast, and countryside - to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary in some truly beautiful places. We arrived yesterday in Cornwall after two nights in London.

A little time away was exactly what I needed.

Thank you for all the kindness and support over the past few weeks. I spent some much-needed time with family, rested, recharged, and found inspiration in nature.

I’m looking forward to sharing more beautiful destinations, meaningful travel experiences, and a little inspiration along the way. by @doc_reesie

Sharing a message from my brother, Chris, to all those who knew and loved my sweet sister in law:

Our beautiful Rebecca has left us. Please continue the prayers for our wonderful children as they struggle to get through this. I have visions of Rebecca dancing her way into heaven. by @doc_reesie

A forever favorite moment of Bekki in one of her happiest places when we celebrated her 40th birthday. Even during dark and painful times she radiated such light - you’d never know the struggle going on inside.

Keep on dancing, sweet sister - we are cheering you on. 🌻🦩💙🏰 by @doc_reesie

Sharing some family news from my brother, Christopher, who isn’t on instagram.

“Our @rebecca_cleaver has always been and will always be the bravest and strongest person I know. She has bravely battled cancer and is now entering the final stage of this hard fought battle. She is at peace.

Please continue to pray for Bekki. Pray for comfort, freedom from suffering, and for our time together as a family with our children.

We have been receiving overwhelming love and support from others who know this incredible woman. Along with this support has come many offers to help. The best way to help our family at this time of need is through the Meal Train. Having meals planned for the kids is one less thing to worry about while we continue to comfort Rebecca. I have included links to the Meal Train and to a webpage to share pictures, videos, and notes of love for Rebecca. These will be read and shown to her as they are updated.”
