I bought Chinese and regular Cauliflower, along with Celery, and hot peppers 🌶️ to make Giardiniera (I already had carrots 🥕). However, we stopped at our local Persian market on the way home, which had a 1kg/ 35¼ ounce premade jar of Giardiniera for $2.99!!!
We haven’t been to that market probably since 2018-19 when we had our bunnies. It was a GREAT store to shop for specialty greens (I.e. tdandelions, kale, herbs, etc.) bc they have excellent prices. We completely forgot about the Persian Market once they opened a 99 Ranch Market (Asian grocery store) near us. Typically, the Asian markets have great deals. (We bought Lobster 🦞 at $10.99/lb for tonight’s dinner- Ginger Scallion Lobster 🦞.) I bought a few pounds of Japanese Eggplant 🍆 at 99 Ranch for $1.99/lb, which is an “ok but not great” price. Sadly, the Persian market had it priced at $0.59/lb. Oh well. Lesson learned for the FUTURE. 👍🏻 by @docbrownmsc

Blahhhh! At least it cools after today and tomorrow. The stuff about dry heat is true. I’m just fine right now with only fans and no A/C. by @docbrownmsc
