This was a collaborative project I designed with Minnie last year . She came with the references and asked me to do a 3D store visualization, and this is what I came up with.

It’s one of my favorite projects because it required me to learn a new skill in a new program called Marvelous Designer. Making clothes in Blender was a nightmare, and I had multiple crashes because apparently my PC couldn’t handle the polygon count of this scene. 😭

But yeah, I had to power through it because it was also my first paid gig, which was pretty cool, really cool.

I made these still renders in Blender @chappies_southafrica

With these stills, I wanted to see what would happen if I took the classic Chappies wrapper and stripped away the idea that it’s only meant for bubblegum. I wanted to treat the bright colors and different flavors purely as cool design patterns to see where else they could live.

Life imitates social media pt.2

the idea of taking familiar things and showing them in a new light. The familiar feels new again. As someone who started in graphic design & UI design, I’ve spent years playing with Instagram’s interface, this idea has been in my drafts forever. Just recently felt confident to pull it off.
