One unforgettable championship weekend. ❤️

• Went into my final track race feeling strong and chasing a PB.

• At 230m, I felt and heard a snap/pop in my hamstring. For a moment, the pain actually made me feel nauseous. I had a choice — stop or keep going.

• I decided to finish. I backed off the pace, managed the pain and somehow crossed the line 🥉 3rd in Ontario | M55–59 800m.

• The highlight? Watching Saje run 3:48 for 1000m — a new PB and Ontario U10 Champion. 🥇❤️

• Two races. Two medals. Two very different stories.

• First race in the @asicscanada METASPEED™ TIGHT — absolutely loved the fit and thigh support. Definitely part of my race-day kit going forward. 🔷

• Great catching up with Paul Osland and the @athleticsont community.

Track season complete. Next chapter: the roads. 👟

🥈 Canadian Masters Championships | 1500m (M55–59)

Not the result I was chasing, but every race teaches you something.

I felt strong throughout the race. I simply didn't race the way I know I'm capable of. Another lesson. Another step forward.

Highlights from the weekend:

• 🥈 Canadian Masters Silver Medal

• 🇨🇦 Excited to begin this journey with @asicscanada. The Superblast 3 has completely changed how my legs recover between hard workouts and has quickly become my go-to shoe for training & recovery runs.

• 🤝 Sharing the podium with my coach and training partner, Derek Hackshaw, made this result even more meaningful.

• 🩹 Race day: Victory + Boost

• 🔴 Recovery: Freedom + Liberty + Defend

Back to work tomorrow.
Next stop: Ontario Masters Championships.

Season's Best. 4:55. ✅

Last night wasn't about chasing the leaders—it was about trusting the plan.

The strategy was simple:
➡️ Stay patient through the first 1000m.
➡️ Ignore the temptation to go too early.
➡️ Finish the final 500m stronger than the first 1000m.

In the past, I've blown up by racing with emotion instead of execution. Last night I trusted the process...and it delivered a new season's best.

Race day routine:
⚡ Victory & Boost performance patches before the race.

Recovery routine:
🔴 Freedom
🟢 Liberty
🔵 Defend

These recovery patches have become my "recovery cocktail" and have helped me stay on top of a lingering right shin issue so I can keep training consistently.

And one more thing...

The final photo isn't there by accident. My ASICS Superblast 3 has completely changed my training. Recovering better between hard workouts has allowed me to train more consistently—and consistency is what leads to breakthrough performances.

One step closer to the Canadian Masters Championships...and ultimately the World Masters Championships in Daegu. 🇨🇦

Doctors told physician and competitive runner Danny Grossi he might never walk again after a life-threatening blood clot and severe compartment syndrome. Today, he is not only back to running, but he is revolutionizing the sport with PIRX—an AI-powered training app designed to help runners optimize their performance.

Three races. Three predictions. Three validations.

1500m — predicted 4:52, ran 4:59
1000m — 3:08
800m — predicted 2:27, ran 2:23.68

Both results landed within the predicted ranges.

Putting PIRX to the test—one race at a time.

The stopwatch tells you what you did. Your training tells you what you’re capable of next.

We told 98 runners how their race would end before they ran it.

On average, we missed their actual finish by 11 seconds.

Not a simulation. Not a “projected time” from a pace calculator.
Real start lines, real conditions: wind, tactics, championship pressure, the lot. 97.3% accurate. 5 races called to the exact second. And every single validated athlete finished inside the range we gave them.

Most apps tell you what you just did.
PIRX tells you what you’re about to do.

📌 Save this for your next race-day gut check.

💬 Drop your next race + goal time below. Let’s see how close we’d get.

🔁 Tag the training partner who swears they “have no idea” what they’ll run.

Predict better.
Race smarter.

Jessica trusted the numbers. The numbers were right. 🔥

Jessica, one of the runners on our PIRX beta testing team, and 4 weeks in, she just stopped guessing.

The app told her what she was capable of. She ran exactly that.

New 5K PR. 💥

Jessica Sampson “ I’ve never had an app predict my potential so accurately”

Here’s the thing, she didn’t push blindly. She didn’t sandbag. She ran the pace PIRX predicted, second by second, and crossed the line into a brand new personal best.

That’s the whole point.

We’re runners. We got tired of training on vibes, hoping the work was working, showing up to race day and guessing. So we built the app we always wanted, one that turns every run into evidence you can actually trust on the start line.

Huge props to Jess and the rest of our beta team, the runners putting PIRX through real miles, real workouts, real race days, so we can build something runners actually deserve.

Jess trusted it. Jess ran it. Jess earned it. 🙌

Your GPS tells you where you ran.
PIRX tells you what you’re actually capable of.

We built the running app that speaks in seconds — not zones, not scores, not vague “readiness” percentages.

→ Your exact race projection, accurate to ±7 seconds
→ Which part of your training earned you those seconds
→ Whether you’re ready to race — and exactly why
→ What supplements actually moved your times
→ What kind of runner you’re built to be

This is Performance Intelligence. Launching Spring 2026.

You’ve run hundreds of kilometers this year.

Cold mornings. Tired legs. Runs you didn’t want to do but did anyway.

And your race pace is the same as 12 months ago.

That’s not a fitness problem. That’s a signal problem.

Not all miles build speed. Some just build fatigue. Most runners never know the difference — and their training log never tells them.

PIRX does.

It shows you exactly which sessions are creating real adaptation and which ones are just wearing you out. So you stop running junk and start running with purpose.

→ Follow @pirx.app for the weekly frameworks that help competitive runners train less and race faster.

🔖 Save this if you’ve ever wondered why your miles aren’t moving your pace.

We’ve been quiet. But we’ve been BUILDING. 👀🔥
This is a real beta tester. Real times. Real data. And this is only a sneak peek of what the new PIRX interface looks like.
We’re not just tracking your runs anymore — we’re showing you exactly what your body is capable of. And the results? They speak for themselves. 👆
If you’re serious about getting faster, you need to see what’s coming.

This weekend I raced two events at the Canadian Masters Indoor Championships (M55–59).

3000m — 3rd in Canada
1500m — Canadian Champion

Many of you saw the PIRX prediction I posted before the race.

PIRX projected my 3000m capacity at ~9:52 and 1500m capacity at ~4:37 based on training signals.

But championship races aren’t about pace.
They’re about placement.

3000m
I went out aggressively in a tactical race and paid for it late.
11:13 — 3rd in Canada

1500m
The pace started very slow. No one wanted to push it.
With 600m to go I surged to the lead and closed at the pace PIRX projected.

5:07 — Canadian Champion

Same fitness.
Different execution.

Capacity sets the ceiling.
Execution determines the outcome.

PIRX models both.
No hype.
Just mathematics. by @docdannygruns
