Practice padding. Just clarifying, but the bottom surface is foam (I said rubber in the video), so basically little to no rebound - that can help build wrist muscles. #drums #drumming #dwsmartpractice #practicepad #rudiments by @docdrumsomaha

Fun project cleaning and tuning up my friend @uncle_mike_drums drums. I love this kind of work and just in general love making drums sound good (to my ears at least). The @ludwigdrumshq Classic Oak line sounds so good and a 6.5x14 Hand Hammered Acro is a perfect match to that kit. I had to get the most out of that snare, so I put a @officialtamadrums 42” wire on and got it set up with @remopercussion Emperor batter and Ambassador reso; the rack and floor got nice fresh Emperors. Sounding really full, huge and crisp overall. This was my first time doing this for a friend and hope to keep doing this, so if you or anyone you know have any drum maintenance needs, hit me up!

Bought a 90’s TAMA Rockstar MIJ bass drum from a nice dude on FB marketplace. Was in decent shape, but needed a 30 year makeover - and thought I would poke fun at just about every drum-influencer out there. Could not find the TikTok “Jessie” voiceover but you get the picture. 😂 Anyway, this bass drum sings! by @docdrumsomaha

Toy xylophone ditty in 6/8 part 3 - this is the last one of these experiments using the kiddos toy xylophone played in 6/8, looped through the kalimba looper, then through the EHX Canyon Delay and Looper pedal and finally some live drums (in 6/8 of course). Once again I tried to accent the 4 of the xylophone measure - that lines up with the backbeat of the snare. More practicn’ with @timbofromkeno drumless tracks. Tried out a filter effect; feels weird trying to find one that fits this track. Took way too long trying to find one. Kind of miss the old IG when they were trying less to be like TikTok and Snapchat.
