Alongside the opening of her new exhibition Composite Bodies at Antenna Space (@antenna_space) in Shanghai, Guan Xiao (@guanxiaostudio) extends her practice into a new dialogue with Alaïa (@maisonalaia), curated by Docent.

Continuing the Maison’s longstanding connection with the arts, Guan Xiao unveils Things I Couldn’t Forget – Nose Ornament, Quimbaya, Colombia (2019) at Alaïa Shanghai.

The work combines dyed fiberglass, spiral wire, stainless steel tubing, and industrial components, creating a sculptural composition that brings together contrasting materials, forms, and references.

On view at Alaïa Shanghai.

sous ultra-vide
A solo exhibition by Elise Nguyen Quoc (@elise.nguyenquoc) is on view at Herald St (@herald_st), London — until 7 November 2026.

Marking Nguyen Quoc’s first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom, sous ultra-vide brings together new works incorporating acrylic, paper, pigment, ballpoint pen, graphite, dry pigment, and resin on wood and wood panel.

Blurring the boundaries between painting and drawing, the exhibition begins from what the artist describes as “remnants”: traces of visual and physical encounters found in daily life, photographed, and then reworked through different techniques.

The title refers to a state of ultra-high vacuum, a condition of extreme emptiness created for precise observation. For Nguyen Quoc, this becomes a way of thinking about absence not as void, but as a charged space where traces, encounters, and new realities can emerge.

Discover a selection of works presented in the exhibition.

2. Elise Nguyen Quoc, Absolument pas, 2026

A Moonless Plateau
A solo exhibition by Gökhun Baltacı (@gokhunbaltaci) is on view at kaufmann repetto (@kaufmannrepetto), New York — until 31 October 2026.

Marking Baltacı’s first solo exhibition in the United States, A Moonless Plateau brings together a new body of oil pastel works on paper.

Across the exhibition, enclosed rooms, loose threads, windows, screens, and fragments of furniture form a landscape without clear distance or direction. Human presence appears only intermittently, through a seated self-portrait or a face reflected against a dusty surface.

Working through layers of blue, violet, green, and grey, Baltacı creates interiors that feel at once recognizable and unsettled — spaces where objects remain familiar, yet seem detached from ordinary use or explanation.

One day, out of the blue, I fell in love with you
A solo exhibition by Ruth Beraha (@ruthberaha) is on view at Alice Amati (@_aliceamati), London — until 10 October 2026.

Marking Beraha’s first solo exhibition in London, One day, out of the blue, I fell in love with you presents a new body of work developed through months of research into UK football culture.

For Beraha, the stadium becomes a symbolic space where individual identities are affirmed and dissolved into a collective voice — shaped by devotion, solidarity, rivalry, pride, and hostility.

Moving across sculpture, drawing, sound, and performance, the exhibition continues the artist’s investigation into the relationship between the individual and the collective, and the ways belonging is constructed, performed, and contested.

Albert’s Paintings, Rachel’s Dress
A solo exhibition by Narcissister (@therealnarcissister) is on view at Margot Samel (@margotsamel.nyc), New York — until 10 October 2026.

Continuing her work across performance, sculpture, collage, film, and video, Narcissister fills the gallery with a new chain-reaction machine, activated through solo performance interventions.

Embedded within the installation are seascape paintings by Abraham “Albert” Benzaquen, the artist’s late uncle, an immigrant from Morocco who sold his works on the Sheepshead Bay waterfront in Brooklyn.

Through this encounter, Albert’s Paintings, Rachel’s Dress approaches the family archive not as a fixed record, but as something that can be reactivated, transformed, and made to speak differently in the present.

Discover a selection of works presented in the exhibition.

1. Narcissister, Untitled 2026 Collage Series, PVC (after A Young Lady aka Lady with a Parrot by Edouard Manet, 1866), 2026.

An Accounting
A solo exhibition by Maria Thereza Alves is on view at Martins&Montero (@martinsemontero), Brussels — until 24 October 2026.

Marking Alves’s first solo exhibition at the gallery in Brussels, An Accounting continues the artist’s long-standing engagement with memory, ecology, colonial histories, and the politics of place.

The exhibition brings two archives into relation: one popular and communal, shaped by those who inherited the weight of exploitation; the other aristocratic and institutional, formed through the wealth generated by that same history.

Through this encounter, Alves shifts the idea of accounting away from possession and property, towards memory, permanence, and the voices of those who were historically counted, but rarely heard.

Sugarshack
A solo exhibition by Salim Green is on view at Société (@societeberlin), Berlin — until 24 October 2026.

Marking Green’s first solo exhibition at Société, Sugarshack takes its title from a term used by the artist’s father to describe abandoned or deteriorating buildings in his hometown of Waterloo, Iowa.

At the centre of the exhibition is the fellowship hall of Payne Memorial AME, a historically Black church on Waterloo’s east side. Recreated and reimagined within the gallery, the space becomes a way of thinking about how rooms register use, absence, gathering, and memory.

Across video, works on paper, and cast aluminium sculptures, Green moves between lived experience and invented narrative. Super-8 footage from Waterloo appears alongside CGI sequences featuring “Shifty,” a recurring surrogate figure who moves through different registers of space, history, and time.

On the eve
A solo exhibition by Ejoo Seo (@ejooseo) is on view at Lo Brutto Stahl (@lobruttostahl), Paris — until 26 September 2026.

Marking Seo’s first solo exhibition, On the eve brings together a series of recent works made with pencil and gesso on canvas, presented in artist-made wooden frames.

Across the exhibition, Seo’s works appear as studies for something still forming: phrases, surfaces, and gestures held in a state of quiet suspension. What emerges is a language of restraint, where drawing becomes a way of approaching image, thought, and material presence without fixing them completely.

Discover a selection of works presented in the exhibition.
