What is your favorite kind of bookish content - reviews, reels, pictures…?

It’s been awhile and a lot of folks are new here since I last told you who I am and what I’m about. So hi, my name is Bob, and let me tell you about me and what you can expect from my page!

Are you intimidated by thick books, or struggle to get through them?

As an avid chonky book reader, I have a few tips that I think will help you make it through these big, epic books.

My favorite thing that this account has brought me is an incredibly cool group of people on my Discord server. Everyone is kind, supportive, and we have great bookish (and non-bookish) discussions where our differences are discussed and appreciated right alongside the things we agree on!

We have a few people in there who also have bookish IG accounts, and I think you should give them a follow!

What are some of your favorite supernatural horror books and movies?

You know I love talking about bookish subgenres, and it’s time to talk about my favorite horror subgenre, supernatural horror!

I have collections of fantasy, sci fi, and horror subgenres in my story highlights!

Well, @thebrokennbinding has done it again. This is an absolutely gorgeous edition of @fonda.lee ‘s The Last Contract of Isako. I’ve been really excited to get my hands on this one, and it’s even more impressive in person! by @docofthedarkarts

What is your favorite book three in a trilogy?

I just finished Victorious by VE Schwab, and this was a perfect ending to this amazing trilogy. Schwab is a master of her craft, working at the height of her powers. You all need to go read this series!

Thank you to @netgalley , @torbooks , and @veschwab for allowing me to read an ARC of one of my most anticipated books of the year!

So you all know The Butcher of Nazareth by @david.scott.hay.official is one of my favorite books of the year. But did you know the audiobook drops on October 20? So if you’ve been waiting for an audio version, now’s your chance!

Published by @simonmaverickbooks , the audiobook version is so well done (narrated by @stpattykid71 ), and I would highly recommend you check it out!

Thanks to the author for sharing an early copy with me!

What are your preferences for audiobooks - speed, genre, complexity, immersive versus isolated?

I am always amazed when I see people who can listen to a long complex fantasy book at a 2x or more speed, because my brain just doesn’t work that way. And we’re all so different when it comes to audiobooks, so what are your preferences?

What is your favorite book 2 of all time?

The Prophet of Edan, book 2 in the Edan Trilogy by @philipchase90 , is an incredibly impressive and propulsive book two that ups the game in every facet of this wonderful blend of traditional and modern fantasy.

When it comes to movie or TV adaptations of books, do you tend to think the movies are better, the books are better, or do you see them a totally different things that you can rarely compare?

I tend to fall in the third category. Here’s why…
