And just like that, 14 years of higher education comes to an end today. I’m finally a fellowship trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon!

This past year in Birmingham, Alabama has flown by. I was privileged to perform over 700 surgeries and learn from some of the best surgeons in our field. I want to thank my mentors, co-fellows, and most importantly my wife @biancabrianna for teaching and supporting me through one of the most challenging but rewarding years of my life.

While I will miss the south, I am excited to be returning to NYC and NJ to begin attending practice soon! taken in American Sports Medicine Institute by @doctor.david

🏈 Dr. Lyle Cain - Celebrating 25 Seasons of Spartan Sideline Support 🏈

As we gear up for the 2025 season, we proudly honor Dr. Lyle Cain of Andrews Sports Medicine for his 25th season as the team physician for Mountain Brook Football and all Spartans Athletics programs.

A proud Mountain Brook alum and former multi-sport athlete, Dr. Cain has spent the past two and a half decades giving back to the community that helped shape him — providing expert orthopedic care and unwavering support to generations of Spartan student-athletes.

This season, Dr. Cain is joined by Dr. David Kantrowitz, ASMI Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellow, further strengthening the top-tier medical coverage for Mountain Brook athletes.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the daily commitment of the Spartans’ athletic training team — Jake Jordan, Adam Martin, and Hayden Griffin — who work tirelessly to keep athletes healthy, prepared, and performing at their best.

Here’s to a safe and successful season ahead! 💚 💛

Today marks the true final day of residency— the culmination of 5 awesome years spent working and learning beside my coresidents and friends. I couldn’t have done it without my residency classmates, wife, family and mentors, all pictured here from our graduation ceremony a few weeks ago. Thank you to all those who supported me, and I look forward to sharing the next chapter with you! #medicine #doctor #surgery #residency #ortho taken in The Mount Sinai Hospital by @doctor.david

Had a great time at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons’ annual meeting! I presented our work on the timeline of recovery after arthroscopic partial meniscectomy as well as the reliability of MRI for detecting ACL tear location. It was fun connecting with so many colleagues and mentors as well. #AAOS2025 #orthopedic #surgery #medicine taken in San Diego, California by @doctor.david
