One month into school already! I’m still figuring it out day by day, but I’m learning to take it day by day. Community has been a huge part of pushing through. Going from being out of school for four years to locking in and completing assignments within a month has definitely been an adjustment, but I’m proud of myself for showing up and figuring it out.

Orientation day 🏁. I walked in with so much confidence. I walked out wondering was this really for me 😅. I met my professors and the women in my cohort. Each person had a reason to be there and I did too. I still do, but I didn’t expect imposter syndrome to hit me so quickly. Two things stood out to me though. The question “Are you ready for the challenge?” & A necklace that had 29:11 which made me think of the verse Jeremiah 29:11. I’m nervous, but I’m still committed 💕 by @doctoralloading_

Hello! Welcome to my educational adventures. I have recently been accepted in the Community Health Promotion Ph.D Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. *screams*. I would love to document this journey and network with others who are working towards their doctoral or just interested in the life of being a doctoral student. This page will include the highs and lows but the most important goal is to finish this degree and make an impact in my community.
