It's finished... Sort of ☺️. Week 8 of the @oneroomchallenge is finished and I can finally reveal all of my efforts. A lot has happened since I last shared. I've been in full on work mode working all day to get this room done on time so I haven't documented my progress as often as I wanted. Thank you to my wonderful husband @darkskint_clarkkent for sticking it out with me and allowing me to ignore everybody for hours each day. Thanks to my sister @themelissamichelle for taking the day off to spend with the girls on Friday.

This challenge the @oneroomchallenge by @betterhomesandgardens was just that...A CHALLENGE. Had I not accepted the challenge, I'm not sure when or if I'd ever attempt this loft bed. I really wanted to build this bed for my daughter Trinity and my 6 month old Ellis when she's ready to move in with her big sis.

If Trinity is happy, this was all worth it. I'd do anything for that little lady and her sister Ellis. The best part is that I can tell them that I made this bed for them with my own two hands and encourage them to do anything they put their minds to.

Thank you to everyone who has been following my journey during this build and providing positive words and encouragement.

Enjoy!!! 🤍🎉

I just wanted to share because the healing time has been sooo amazing! ✨Initial phase: keep it moisturized with vasaline and bandaids. ✨Phase 2: Add vasaline with Yarrow pom and Immortale ✨Phase 3: continue with yarrow pom and immortale 4 x day. 🗣️: Please consult a physician before using these products. Sharing my experience with their use. 🩷🙏🏽. #doterra #scartreatment #naturalhealing #essentialoils #yarrowpom by @doctordoiturself

Swipe for the before ⬅️⬅️
From farmhouse to modern traditional. ✨ I loved adding a pop of color to this room with a look that still feels neutral. 🩵 I love the creamy mushroom color used for the picture frame molding that I used previously in my closet renovation. Instead of overwhelming the room with black, I accented the room with touches of black to tie in other areas of my home. 🖤

A simple fix is not so simple…I’ve dealt with chipping paint and I refuse to cut corners…so I will peel as much as I can. See you guys next year 😩😆🥹 #doctoritup #buildermistakes #buildermistakefixed #fixit #powderroomdesign by @doctordoiturself

Prep. The least fun, but most important part!! I have definitely learned my lesson…Always prime your walls before wallpapering!! Playas make mistakes too ☺️🤷🏽‍♀️
I can’t wait to start wallpapering!! @romanproducts @kilzbrand @mitchell__black @zinsser
