I released my second full length solo album, “I’VE LOST MY MIND…AND MY PANTS,” and it is available to stream everywhere (just click the LinkTree hyperlink in my bio, and you can stream the album anywhere you listen to music). I am immensely proud of this project, because it is a journey from start to finish (I truly hope you can listen to the album in its entirety), and I feel it encapsulates my artistic point of view at this current moment of my life. The final song on the album is REMINDERS, and what a beautifully tragic way to end the album. It is a song that reminds us of our impermanence through the metaphor of constant reminders that indicate the unending march of time, which will lead to our inevitable end. We find so much peace in these reminders, and we hope you do, too. ♥️♥️♥️. Also, this photo from our album release party serves as a beautiful memory, as well as another constant reminder of time. This is the face we make when we realize that humans consume over 400 million metric tons of PLASTIC each year (and it continues to grow bigger…). In fact, microplastics readily permeate our air, our bloodstream, brains, and our reproductive organs (that’s right - microplastics get into the womb where the babies grow - yikes!). This is why we wrote our 13th (lucky number 13) track on the album - PLASTIC. At under one minute, this song packs a punch with jarring EDM synths and bass. “I MOAN WHEN I EAT” is track number ten on our album, and oh boy, it is quite literal. We LOVE eating - it gives us so much pleasure, and we feel it does the same for you. That is why we unabashedly moan when we eat. You know what we’re talking about. That moment you take a bite into one of your favorite dishes, which triggers a surge of neurotransmitters to activate the hedonic hotspots of your brain (i.e., the reward and pleasure centers; e.g., the orbitofrontal cortex, ventral pallidum, nucleus accumbens, brainstem, etc.). You become overwhelmed with pleasure, and you MOAN! Of course, we have been socialized into rules of appropriateness, which sometimes frown upon moaning while eating. But we say - FORGET THAT! “WE ARE POLITICIANS” is the ninth track on our album, and while the lyrical content may feel dark (and factual), the production hopefully makes you want to dance! BIGGER is the eighth track on our album. At just one minute and ten seconds, this song simply repeats the phrase, “The bigger the corporation, the bigger the exploitation.” We used the sonic landscape of a congregation of children chanting it back to the seemingly evil preacher because religious institutions often use the fear of sin (and damnation/hell) to manipulate the masses into obedience, which felt like a perfect metaphor for the insidious consequences that large corporations have wreaked on our planet, natural resources, land, and collective psyche. The seventh track on our album, Revolutionize the Babies, is ADS (and the sixth track is an annoying commercial break 😆). We, like you, abhor advertisements, as they have become insidiously ubiquitous in every aspect of life (we see/hear thousands of ads everyday, and there are trillions of ads online each year - that is outrageous, yeah?). Also, the United States is one of the only countries that permits pharmaceutical advertisements direct to consumers (most other countries ban this because it makes no sense). Every time we use technology/devices, endless data is collected about us that allows corporations the ability to advertise directly to us based on the identity they’ve branded for us (seriously, our devices probably know us better than we know ourselves 😬). We hope this song makes you groove, learn, think, and begin to desire a world free from incessant advertising! I CAN’T SLEEP ON PLANES is the fifth banger/bop on our album, and this one is for all of us who are fed up with the cramped and uncomfortable transportation option known as airplanes. It’s almost like the more consolidated/monopolized airlines become, the more they attempt to squeeze every last penny out of us, leaving us with no options, no space, and a pain in the booty (and brain)! Even @southwestair said yesterday on @threads - “sleeping on airplanes is an actual talent.” Should we demand better from the companies we shell out hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars to transport us? Or do we just lament in the annoyance and frustration that is flying? At least the big airlines are still earning hundreds of millions (sometimes billions) of dollars each year. Yay for profit! TRAFFIC is the fourth song on our debut album, “Revolutionize the Babies,” and it is a certified banger! This song was birthed out of our astute observation of humans’ collective disgust, hatred, and frustration with sitting in traffic. In fact, some humans spend upwards of four years of their lives behind a wheel! The third track on our album is BUGZ. This is also the first song we, as Germs and Conditions, wrote together. A vital step in revolutionizing the babies, this song asks us to love and respect all aspects of nature, including the BUGZ! “All of nature is interlinked. If any bug were to go extinct, our whole damn planet would start to sink.
