Hands* up who’s ready for CELL BLOCK 69 at the OXFORD ART ARENA.

Just one short month until the world’s greatest 80s band play ALL THE HITS that were stolen from them by unscrupulous artists from Billy Idol to the Bangles from Dexy’s Midnight Runners to Duran Duran. Sure to be another year of the greatest event known to humanity! And it’s their last ever show ... again.

I WANT MY CELL BLOCK 69 - 2 sets of hits by Cell Block 69. Special Guest DJ Corey Knuckles. At the world’s most underground stadium Oxford Art Arena this February!

Photos by the very talented @actcameramatt “Corey” Roberts at the Basement Party Arena, Friday Dec 19. Yep, all on the one night. That’s a lot of songs/singers/costumes/guitars/wigs. And they’re all coming to Sydney

Link in bio. Wigs in washing machine.

LA DEATH TO THE ART.

Humphrey B Flaubert and Ron Hitler Barassi from TISM discuss superfluous grammar, misspelled venues, and their favourite types of fans, and along the way almost talk about TISM, their new album, and their upcoming sold out show at The Hordern.

Just a quick warning: swear words. Nothing too drastic. Maybe some soft libel. Also some dancing.

(Also shoutout to @supportact for the sweet Mob Music shirt. Get one! And @rageabc for the hat!) by @doctormcdougall

The Saints ‘73-‘78 are playing Thirroul Friday night on their tour, bringing Ed Kuepper and original drummer Ivor Hay back together, alongside Mick Harvey from the Bad Seeds, Sunnyboy Peter Oxley and with Mark Arm from Mudhoney out the front.

With the big positive reviews coming in of the tour I got Ivor on the show to talk about playing Saints songs now and back then( picking the drums after piano and bass, and how apart from helping kickstart punk he also had a hand in the next big thing, the electronic sounds of the 80s (in a case of Ivor meets Iva!) by @doctormcdougall

GET A REAL JOB!

Or, just come and see us play all the hit (singular) and memories from Sans Souci and other records we did.

Gadigal/Sydney this Friday with Private Wives and Where’s Jimmy and Mulubinba/Newcastle on Saturday with Fat Bald Idiot!

Few more shows up north and heaps down south too.

WHO WOULD BE A FUCKEN COP? by @doctormcdougall

Thank you WA! Rad playing our silly songs on Noongar Boodja with such legends. Here’s some photos and videos. Mostly by our TM Glynn when he had a spare second from cleaning up our messes. Ft some nice tambocatch and pedalwork by Luppo, who suffered a birthday while on tour, and audio wizard Trav, who just suffered.

Thanks heaps to the Rosemount, Prince, River and Carine for being very welcoming and tolerant to us and to all of you. And to Mannequin Death Squad and The Decline for being much the same.

See you next week in Gadigal/Sydney & Mulubinba/Newcastle and then onward and (geographically)!

(Sorry if we forgot to credit your photo or video. We’re trying to do better but also lazy and old) by @doctormcdougall

I call out male Satin Bowerbird David Bowerie because in my head his soundtrack is Let’s Dance. And he’s dancing the blues. by @doctormcdougall

I have over 1000 videos and photos of our resident Satin Bower Bird doing weeks of courtship dancing. This seemed like the most appropriate way to introduce him. by @doctormcdougall

We’re back! Back in the San Souci groove, Noongar Boodja-style. Playing all the hits, 23 years after they took the world by drizzle.

Rosemount Hotel tonight and then Prince Of Wales tomorrow with Mannequin Death Squad, then The River in Margs and The Carine in Duncraig.

Then we’re back over east for Sydney, Newcastle, Byron, Brisbane, Caloundra and a couple of Lutruwita shows. Then Push Over. What a year. What a 23 years.

Dates and tickets in bio. Come down to the nitty gritty.

Cheers to @sunnymagoo for this video, filmed at the beautiful @lovethegov. You can see the whole thing on YouTube. by @doctormcdougall

One week until we’re rolling this intro tape again and getting down to the nitty gritty. Heading to Far West Sans Souci on the glorious 23rd anniversary tour for shows in Perth, Bunbury, Margaret River and also Perth again for some reason but about 15 minutes up the road.

Stoked to get back on stage with Mannequin Death Squad and The Decline too.

Still tickets available. George Negus sadly not appearing. See you on Whadjuk and Wadandi Noongar Boodjar very soon!

Cheers to @doomsdaymedia25 for the video. The whole gig’s on YouTube if you can bear it… by @doctormcdougall
