Mission Statement

Our mission is to produce intelligent, cinematic, and enduring stories that deepen the public’s understanding of history, humanity, and the forces that shape civilization.

Through rigorous research, compelling visual storytelling, and a commitment to evidence, we explore the ideas, cultures, conflicts, discoveries, and human experiences that have shaped the world we inherited.

We believe documentary storytelling should do more than inform. It should challenge assumptions, preserve memory, encourage curiosity, and give audiences the tools to examine the stories societies tell about themselves.

Our purpose is to create work that is visually powerful, intellectually responsible, and built to endure—bringing scholarship, history, and human experience to audiences around the world. #DocumentaryFilm #HistoricalLiteracy #PublicHistory #VisualStorytelling #HistoryMatters by @documentaryidentityproject

WELCOME TO THE DOCUMENTARY IDENTITY PROJECT

The past is never truly lost.

It survives in forgotten cities, ancient artifacts, landscapes, inscriptions, and the stories humanity leaves behind.

Our mission is to create cinematic documentaries grounded in archaeology, anthropology, history, and scientific evidence.

We believe that understanding our past helps us better understand our future.

Evidence. Memory. Civilization.
