One chair closer to winter. Chair 7 is the lifeblood of the mountain, carrying generations of skiers and riders to the summit. After passing its load test, one of the biggest maintenance milestones of the summer, The Prospector is ready for another season of first tracks.

Believe it or not, we don’t just sit around all summer waiting for it to snow. The moment chairs stop spinning our Lift Maintenance crew gets to work making sure all our lifts are up to spec. This year that includes replacing the bullwheel bearing on Chair 8, a job only done every 25-30 years. We’re lucky to have a world class crew who can tackle jobs like this in-house and keep our chairs spinning for years to come!
