And finally our Game of the Year 2024: Astro Bot!

In a year full of outstanding titles Team Asobi created something truly memorable. The pure joy this game brings makes it stand above the rest for us.

Almost made a collage for runner-up, but Stellar Blade edged out the competition by just an inch. by @doesitplay1

Silent Hill 2 Remake takes home "Best Horror" game of 2024!

For a long time, we didn't dare to dream how this remake would turn out. Apparently, pretty damn good. Really give it try, if you haven't.

Its interesting noise detection secured "A Quiet Place" the runner-up spot. by @doesitplay1

Best Action-Adventure of 2024 goes to Stellar Blade!

Satisfying combat and a nice dose of exploration/collectibles. EVE really took our hearts by storm.

We wanted something wholesome in between. Hence our runner-up over way too many good games to choose from: Cat Quest 3. by @doesitplay1

Our favorite Shooter from 2024 is Space Marine II!

Nothing quite like blasting through hordes and hordes of enemies in the Warhammer 40k universe. We very much enjoyed this power fantasy.

Our runner-up is the visually stunning Cygni: All Guns Blazing. Hidden gem right there! by @doesitplay1

Our favorite PlayStation game of 2024 is Astro Bot!

Think "adorable" and the little bot comes to mind immediately. Fun to play, fun to explore, fun to take on the challenges. A game that knows what it needs to be.

Runner-up comes with a lot of the same virtues: FF VII Rebirth. by @doesitplay1

Our favorite Sports game in 2024 was EA Sports College Football 25!

Great to see a highly entertaining football game alongside Madden. Especially great to see a strong return of college football after NCAA went dormant in 2014.

Our favorite Local Multiplayer 2024 is Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition!

If you don't know why Worms is an absolute blast by now, you should really give this a try with friends. Nothing quite like a night of intense battles in this classic.

Time for the first big one!

Our favorite Switch game of 2024 is Princess Peach: Showtime!

With masterful karate kicks or disguised as elegant thief, Peach proved to be an allround joy to play for many of us. We can't wait for more on Switch 2.
