The Autumn Concert. Performed by real dogs.

On drums: Laszlo. Lead vocals: Billie. And the ghost choir: Belemi, Richmond and Freddie.

Three for autumn, worth saving:
Plain pumpkin? Yes. Cooked, no spices.
Conkers and acorns? No. They are toxic, walk on by.
A costume? Only if they love it and can move, see and breathe.

Send this to a friend with a dog.

Your dog is itchy and the first guess is always “food allergy.” And then hypoallergenic food doesn’t work🙈Usually it’s not the food, or not only that.

Swipe through the signs most dog parents miss 🐾

Want the full breakdown? My complete allergy guide is linked in bio. 80 pages full♥️ You don’t need any other guide to understand what’s happening to your dogx

This part of the trail has shown up in videos before, and nothing about it is “new”… but that’s kind of the point. 💚🐾

It’s just another day of Tonk and Summer getting to be in the woods on their own terms. Walking back to the car on their own terms. Taking the pauses they need, picking their path, and moving forward with me right there to help when they ask.

And I never get tired of filming the “same” walk… because this is where you can really see the progress.

Tonk and Summer had stem cell therapy on August 27, and we’re about a month and a half out now. They’re both doing fantastic, and it’s so clear the work is working. Each trip they get a little stronger, move a little faster, take fewer breaks, and recover quicker. The smiles on their faces tell you everything.

This was Tonk’s 3rd stem cell treatment and Summer’s 2nd. Procedures are done at Smith Ridge Veterinary, and we use Ardent Animal Health for stem cells and cryo storage so their cells are banked and ready when we need them. Macy Tre had her stem cells harvested during her ovary-sparing spay and her cells are in cryo storage too (we’ll likely use them within the next year).

All three have lived with severe osteoarthritis since before one year old. And OA isn’t rare or “just old dog stuff” it affects so many dogs of all ages.

That’s why daily, appropriate movement matters so much for chronic pain (dogs and humans). As Dr. Laurie McCauley says: motion is lotion. Movement helps reduce stiffness, support joint lubrication, maintain strength that stabilizes painful joints, and keep bodies participating in life.

If you’re caring for a dog with disabilities, orthopedic disease, or chronic pain, let this be your reminder: keep moving matters, even if it’s slower and looks different. 💚🐾

A little unboxing with @seaweedfordogs 💖🦷
Oral hygiene is an important part of taking care of us doggos, so I’m always happy to discover new ways to make it part of our daily routine! I received their dental spray, which is designed to support daily oral hygiene and help keep my breath fresh. I’m excited to give it a try and share more about our experience along the way!😁

does anyone else’s mom summon the dirt monster a million times a week, or is mine just beefing with crumbs?

It’s always fun to look and reflect on the different tasks that Maple has learned over the years. I’m so proud 🧡

These aren’t even all of the tasks she knows! Should I do a part 2?

"Just a little trim." They will never forgive this.

Based on a true story from @misterwagyu

Follow the cast: @misterwagyu @bluthebeauce Two-panel cartoon. Top: a tiny apricot poodle and a big black-and-tan Beauceron, both shaggy and overgrown, happily go to the groomer for just a little trim. Bottom: both are clipped short with a small bow, sitting with their backs to the viewer, noses in the air. The poodle says: we are not speaking to you. The Beauceron adds: ever. by @dog.fluence
