✨What is true community?✨ Hint: it's more than just a buzzword or hashtag... True community is when you actively show up for the people you know and care about. And it's actually key for us humans to feel belonging and happiness... Guess what are the roots of a true community? Empathy and kindness. 💖 As much as we at Dog Bar LOVE throwing dog parties and seeing hundreds of dog-obsessed people come together with their pups to have fun...our proudest accomplishment is to have contributed to growing the roots for a strong and true community of caring dog parents in the Bay Area. Since 2022, when we started with an indoor dog park and party space to help socialize all our COVID pups 😂, I've seen genuine connections and friendships inadvertently form between people who would never have known each other if they didn't come together to celebrate their dogs! Then, as we connected with our fellow small dog business owners from the Bay and beyond, I've also seen the local small business community grow stronger and stronger each year, truly helping each other navigate the crazy world of business. Community is not just a surface-level fun thing... it runs deep. VERY deep. Primal, you could say. Just as our dogs need their pack, humans need ours too for survival. 💚 We hope to continue growing this wonderful community however we can – to keep showing up for you all how you need us to. ✨So have fun! And support your community, however big or small it is. taken in San Francisco Bay Area by @dogbarbayarea

💚WE ARE SO OBSESSED WITH DOGS…💚 😩 Are you obsessed like us too?? Literally everything we do is for the dogs. Like, we can't stop thinking about more fun ways to creatively spend time with our furry besties. Because when our dogs are having fun, we're having fun too! Dog parents KNOW...nothing gets that serotonin flowing like a happy smile and zoomies from our pups!⚡️⚡️ I think that makes it a healthy obsession.🤭 ___ Dog Bar is trying on a new fit! We haven't updated our look since first opening 3 years ago! It's about time for a glow up.✨ After this past summer of events, I've felt inspired to go for a vibrant, energetic look for Dog Bar, just how it feels to be there at our events with all the happy pups! What do you think?? ~Steph taken in State of Mind by @dogbarbayarea

💚In a world that seems chaotic and unrelenting, the best thing our dogs do for us daily is to remind us to take pause, appreciate what we have right now...and to be kind. I believe dog people (and animal lovers) are some of the most empathetic people – the best kind of people. 💖 To be able to look beyond external appearances into the soul of an animal, to care for their well-being, love them and understand their behaviors...requires incredible amounts of empathy. True empathy creates kindness – demonstrated through thoughtfulness and appreciation for others. Kindness makes this world a better place to live in, little by little, one person at a time. This is how we try to operate at Dog Bar. So share a little bit of kindness every day if you can, it costs nothing and it goes a long way. ✨ taken in Planet Earth by @dogbarbayarea

I had to get some treatos for a fren who’s never tried treatos from these pawsome Bay Area businesses! First, I saw my fren from @codystreats and of course I got to sample all da yummy treatos. I got to see my fren Nikki at @diamonddogstreatery , she had new intern on shift so I just did a visit. Her tiny intern was very sweet and is available for adoption. I did shopping for my fren and because I was best boy, I got some goodies too! I got a new leash from @jakandphil and I even got a cool new dana from @shopdiscodog . It’s spooky so you will get to see it soon for Spooky season! I ran into my fren @xochi52423 from @xochispawfections , she said I smelled good 🥰. I got some poopy bag samples from @andearthbag and I got to see da potato Pugs that are looking for furever homes. Then I took my Hooman’s for ice cream at @sfhometowncreamery . They let doggos inside, but no doggo pupcup. Another best weekend! I always haz best day when I get to go to dog friendly events! We also lubs supporting da local and small businesses.
