💙 Seeko is a sweet 5-6 year old boy. No signs of aggression, we are working towards being fully potty trained. So good around other pets. Very quick and easy to walk!

🎃🐾 BOO & BARK BASH: SPOILED DOGS, SPOOKY FUN & A FAIRY-TALE ENDING! 🐾👻

Our Boo & Bark Bash was all about giving our shelter pups a day to just BE DOGS! From splashing around in the pool 💦, enjoying pup cups ☕, posing in their Halloween costumes 📸, exploring the pumpkin patch 🎃, and hunting for hidden treats… these pups were spoiled, loved, and treated like the VIPs they are!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers who brought the dogs, showered them with love, and ALWAYS find ways to make them feel extra special. You are the magic behind these moments! 🧡

And now… let’s talk about SANTANA. 🥹❤️

One of our event dogs went out for a little bite to eat with her handler, completely unaware that her entire world was about to change. Her future mom saw her, fell INSTANTLY in love, and wanted to take her home right then and there.

And what happened next is exactly why this community is so special. ❤️ Calls were made, strings were pulled, and mountains were moved to make it happen.

Little did we know that when she walked out of that kennel for her Boo & Bark adventure, it would be the LAST time she’d ever have to walk out as a shelter dog. 😭❤️

THIS is why we show up. This is why we keep doing these little things. Because sometimes, one day of fun, one outing, one unexpected encounter is all it takes to change a life forever.

To everyone who played a part in Santana’s happy ending: THANK YOU. And to Santana, may your new life be filled with all the love, treats, adventures, and pumpkin-spiced happiness your heart can handle. 🎃🧡

There’s nothing more rewarding than getting our shelter pups out for a few hours to experience freedom, love, and pure happiness! From water play and fun games to adorable photo booth moments and delicious pup cups, these babies had the BEST time! A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible! ❤️ And the icing on the cake? We even had an adoption right on the spot! Days like these remind us why we do what we do! This is Josh — 1 year old, 58 pounds, and one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. 🏊🐾 He’s the one crashing into the pool, stumbling back out, and bringing the same goofy, can’t-stop-laughing energy every single time. He’s clumsy. He’s a little wild on leash. But he means absolutely no harm — he just wants to play, to make you laugh, and to be loved.

Underneath all that puppy energy is a dog who’s been waiting for someone to give him a place to call home. Somewhere he can finally calm down, feel safe, and show you just how sweet he really is.

Please pray for Kona’s full recovery. 🙏

Kona ingested an object that obstructed her intestines. It looks like the object was there for prolonged time and parts of her tissue got damage. She will need to be in observation for the next 3 days and fight for her body to recover the tissue so she won’t need another surgery.

Today was an incredibly long and painful day, specially for her. Which she mastered with patience and strength. Her total bill so far is at $8,500 for today in between imaging, medication, hospitalization and surgery. Any help is more than welcome and appreciated it. 💔 Pit bulls are one of the most misunderstood breeds. And Kovu deserves a chance to prove that love is so much stronger than a label. ❤️🐶

❌ Myth 1: Pit bulls are naturally aggressive.

❌ Myth 2: Pit bulls can’t be loving family dogs.

This sweet boy Kovu is proof that what’s on the outside doesn’t tell you everything about the heart on the inside. He’s a compact little lovebug waiting for someone to see HIM, not a stereotype.

🏡 His smaller size could make him a wonderful apartment companion with the right daily exercise, enrichment, and care.

✨ Kovu is also eligible for a Pawventure! Give him a break from shelter life and let him experience a little taste of the world beyond his kennel.

Today’s Miles for Mutts was extra special! 🥹🐾❤️

This morning, I had the joy of bringing a lovely lady I met while volunteering at our local senior center, along with my friend’s teenage daughter. Different generations, coming together for one beautiful purpose: giving love to dogs who have so much love to give back. 🩷

And what made it even better? Sharing the morning with an amazing group of ladies who showed up with open hearts and helping hands! @vannascupid @2girlssavingtails @debbgurl23 🥰

Our four-legged stars today were Prince Charming, Luna, sweet Penelope, and, of course, my always-special Edison (#A2696862). 🐶❤️

Days like today remind me that volunteering isn’t just about the dogs we walk. It’s about the connections we make, the kindness we share, and the awareness we create. Every person who joins us becomes another voice for these beautiful souls waiting for their forever homes.
