Why be predictable? 🩷 The first photo is a throwback since my photos from today are cute but blurry; swipe to check them out! 📸I love to keep my human on her toes! A week or two ago we had a few mornings that were slightly cooler, and I barely walked those mornings! Then this morning it was 81° and I walk 2 miles, including going up and down a couple short “hills” to chase two different armadillos! Bonus was my human having to crab walk down the second hill because it was covered in loose dirt and dried leaves! 🐾🍂#seniordog #labmix #blackdog #flowerfriday #happydoghappylifeAfter armadillo 1! When you select a spot your human should like so that you can hurry up and go back home! 💜It is the dog days of summer, and it’s hard to believe dogs live in even hotter climates! Will steal a look at my human when things go wrong! 👀This water crossing is the deepest at the exact spot where I slipped! 🤦‍♀️ I like staying on the grass to make it easier on myself, but I slipped off the edge! Welcome to my neighborhood! 🪧These photos from my weekend walks! Saturday’s walk was really short, so I decided to humor my human with her silly photos through the agility hoops! 💚Now that the rain is gone, we’re back to business as usual, lows around 75 and highs around 95! Weekend’s almost here! 😁Another video from June, because this old girl is taking it easy this week! 🥱In case you missed it in my last reel, me mentioning taking advantage of being off-leash was my subtle way of admitting that I should have been on leash at that point. In my human’s defense, I had been heading home after my little swim in the “pond” area. My human did a little detour to peek at this water crossing and didn’t realize my nearly 12-year-old self would be eager to cross! Keeping things simple! 😀 Some days I’m fighting currents running over the trail, and other days, like today, I visit my nearest favorite puddle for a slurp and return home! 😅It’s rained a decent amount the past couple of days! Yesterday I walk in some light sprinkles, but today I wasn’t so sure. Twice I let my human fill her pockets, put on her sports sandals, put on a jacket, and put my harness on me, just for me to go outside and then immediately come back in! Oh well, third times the charm! 🐾 Our part of town has been doing pretty well. There was a tornado warning yesterday for our part of town, but it didn’t touch down. This morning there was a small tornado in another part of town, there have been small earthquakes south of town, and a whole lot of flooding in various parts! When your human is dramatic! 🙄Apparently, my human was planning on only looking at the water to compare to my previous videos at this spot, but I took advantage of being off leash to show how easy it was to cross! If you think I was slow, you should have seen how careful my human was! 🤦‍♀️ Did you peep me in the clip at the end? 🐕‍🦺Despite the wavy appearance, I assure you the sidewalk is as flat and smooth the whole way as it is in the beginning of the video. What would you do: cross or turn around? 🤔The videos are from the same day as my last water video! Before and After! 🩷💚Remember this lovely tree! Photo 1 is from the same session in June that I posted already. Photo 2 is what it looks like now! They trimmed back a large chunk of the tree, probably because it was blocking the sidewalk! Photo 3 is another session in June that shows the tree’s full glory; it’s the one on the far left! Photo 4 is from yet another session in June and shows the angle of the tree, which is why the blossoms are so close to the ground! Patio life! 🖤The highs were about 10° cooler this weekend (I guess about 5° less in C), meaning it was only in the 80s! Saturday was overcast with lots of thunder and some rain, so it felt much cooler than normal! Flashback flowers! 🌺Many of my walks are close to home these days, so a lot of spots get used over and over again! My human likes to mix things up, so she figured it was time for a throwback to about a month ago! 🐾My human was expecting me to stand to the right of where I am, which is basically ground level. She avoids asking me to jump up on things for photos. However, I knew she’d love it, so I decided to jump up! My human took me off leash without thinking even though we’re really close to the trail. A dog walked by right afterwards! Then when we left, we realized someone was sitting in a little area right behind this! Squirrel! 🐿️ This morning was one of those walks where I asked every 5 minutes to do a photo session, and my human kept saying that it’s too dark! So when we passed this door, my human decided to give it a try!
