Routeburn Track. First tramp in NZ, first great walk, first point to point hike, first hiking hut, first hitch hike home 👍 Here’s to many more 🍻 #newzealand #southisland #mountaspiringnationalpark #fiordlandnationalpark #mountains #moss #sun #sky #clouds by @dogs_n_stuff
15 tallest peaks of Australia 🥲 59kms, 2530ms elevation, 3 days, 2 nights. An unforgettable experience and one I’ll reflect on for the rest of my life ❤️ Honestly it’s hard to believe all the support and love we’ve received. This idea was born out of my passion for hiking, camping and the outdoors, paired with my empathy for those struggling with life or going through a crisis. It breaks my heart that humans turn to suicide thinking it’s their only way out. Yes life can be hard, but it is so precious, and there is so much potential out there for everyone. If you need help please ask for it, we don’t like to burden our loved ones with problems but that is what they are there for. If you feel like you can’t share with your friends or family you can call the @calmzone lifeline on 0800 58 58 58. James and I have to thank everyone once more for the messages of encouragement. Thanks again to those who reposted the page, shared personal stories, and of course who donated. We’ve just reached our final target of £2000 🥳. Big shoutout and massive thanks to @jameslongmirebmx for the company, laughter and fantastic photos, it wouldn’t have been the same without you ❤️ Please reach out to your loved ones, tell them you’ll love them no matter what and make it clear that your life is better with them in it. Lots of love Ferg and James. More mountains to come soon 🌄 by @dogs_n_stuff
Stirling Ranges ridge walk, 25ks and 2119ms elevation.. Sunrise at Bluff Knoll (1094ms). Really hard to pick 10 photos to capture this. Absolutely epic views, beautiful scrub and bush. Serious elevation with technical scrambling and climbing. Unforgettable experience and great training leading up to our attempt of the 15 tallest peaks in Australia. Alongside this we’re trying to raise awareness and donations for suicide prevention via the charity @calmzone An estimated 19 people take their own lives in the UK everyday and 8 in Australia. Tell your family and your mates you love them. If you’re in a state of crisis free call @calmzone THE NUMBER IS 0800 58 58 58. Or reach out to those you feel you can, they know the world’s a better place with you in it! Link to the @justgiving page is in my bio. If we’re lucky there could be a little video to follow. Special thanks to @jameslongmirebmx for the company, support and spectacular photos! #suicideprevention #calm #Australia #WA #stirlingrangesnationalpark #hiking #camping #adventure by @dogs_n_stuff

PLEASE PLEASE STOP AND READ! THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO ALREADY DONATED VIA THE LINK IN YESTERDAYS STORY (ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO DONATED ANONYMOUSLY THAT I COULDN’T THANK PERSONALLY). https://www.justgiving.com/page/fergus-ludlow-1736978407715?utm_source=IG. The link is also in my Bio and on my story. If you can’t afford to donate please still visit the page, give it a read and discuss with those close to you. If you want to help out but can’t spare any pounds please re-post or share the just giving link so we can smash that £1000 goal (really I wanted to put £5000 but I didn’t want to be too optimistic). I’m sure loads of you know that I’m raising awareness and donations for CALM (campaign against living miserably) a suicide prevention charity. By treking Australia’s 15 tallest peaks with my friend @jameslongmirebmx People who are in a crisis need to know that there is help out there for them. One key resource that CALM offers is a suicide prevention helpline open from 5pm to midnight every night. The number is 0800 58 58 58. This is for anyone who can’t see a way forward, has lost somebody to suicide, or those who are worried somebody is suffering from suicidal thoughts/tendencies. Please tell your family and your mates that you will love them no matter what, and your life is better with them in it ❤️. #CALM #SuicidePrevention #Suicide #Charity #Trek #Hike #Positivity #Donation #Awareness by @dogs_n_stuff
You have to take the lows with the highs in life, metaphorically and literally in this case, you never know what it’s going to throw at you, never give up and keep pushing. Not often I post these days but I thought my mates would want to see me living my dream (exploring with the dog) 🥲 It’s been a rollercoaster of a year, and I want to thank all my friends and family from the bottom of my heart for all support. I love you guys ❤️ First pictures are from Snowdon and the second from our wild camp and summit of Cadair Idris, Snowdonia. #sun #sky #clouds #adventure #snowdon #summit #cadairidirs #snowdonia #dog #cocaspaniel #motivation #positivity #dreaming by @dogs_n_stuff
